the last film you watched thread

Red State
Drugstore Cowboy
Nightmare Alley
La Dolce Vita
Eating Raoul
Dead Ringers

Dead Ringers and la Dolce Vita are, respectively, probably my favorite Cronenberg and Fellini films.

just today i watched
Eating Out: Drama Camp
Shaolin
Pirates of Silicon Valley

Genre jump much?

Perfume: a story of murder

it's actually i really REALLY good film i thought

The dude who plays jean-baptiste in the movie is so stunning :)

If you loved the movie, I highly recommend the book (Patrick Suskind is the author). It's quite a wonderfully vivid read, albeit a quick one.

Last one I saw was a documentary called Crop Circles - Crossover from Another Dimension. It was very beautifully done, and absorbing the beauty from all of that sacred geometry really got me lifted.

Last hollywood movie I saw was Moneyball. It was decent, because I enjoy baseball.

Beginners
We Need To Talk About Kevin
I liked Beginners more...the other was more for people who have read the book otherwise it can be vague.

Cowboys and Aliens. I liked it - just enough talking to keep the plot running, and enough fighting to make it a guy's show.

I just saw old Miss Congeniality. For the 20th time I guess...

Bullock is so much better in comedies than in dramas.

Green Lantern on blu-ray. Keeping in mind it is a comic book story, it wasn't so bad. Some people take this stuff too seriously. But the best thing in the movie was by far seeing Ryan Reynold's bod.

Saw 3 films the last 2 days - tradition

War Horse
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
The new Tom Hanks movie

TTSS was amazing
War Horse and the 911 Film were both flawed but very good

Last night we watched Mary Poppins on television. I hadn't seen it before. Amazing animation considering when it was produced

Super 8. I'm so disappointed with J.J. Abrams, and with Spielberg for helping with this disaster. Imagine Goonies meets E.T. meets Cloverfield. Well this is far worse than what you could imagine.

How do you get E.T. from that?

Oh, never mind.

Saw it again. I like Super 8.

I think it loses a little direction in the last act, but overall still pretty enjoyable.
