This afternoon I saw "Fanny's Journey." It was a French movie with English Subtitles

The movie is a true story and it takes place during the Holocaust.

It was an Incredible, Riveting movie. Check it out!
 
"Lion"

Certainly deserves its Oscar nomination.

Embarrassing that a 66yr old bursts into tears in a crowded cinema and not only once either.
 
Cure for Wellness.

Visually pleasing and nicely shot, but doesn't make up for what is ultimately not that interesting and probably pretty obvious reveal of what is going on, that it takes the actors longer to discover than the audience. The movie ends up being a bit too long as well.

Good storytelling, music, acting, etc. But...

...ultimately an idle daydream about what it would be like to win the lottery.

I admit to enjoying the film but also to not really understanding the whole of the story line. Perhaps by seeing it in French I missed some of the clues to unravelling the story.
 
So...it's almost impossible to see La La Land not winning
