the last film you watched thread

Lol I actually bought the criterion collection the other day, it is a true masterpiece!

Currently watching night of the demon

Suspiria
Day of the Dead
Dawn of the Dead (2004)
The Matrix
The Matrix Reloaded

I tried to watch the third Matrix but I lost interest and turned it off.

"Dunkerque"

You need a heart of stone to go to see this film. It is also so English that I wonder if it will do well in American cinemas as it is not exactly a war film with a story.

The Viceroy's House.

Man's hatred towards his fellow man really knows no limits. Why is a difference, what every it may be, reason to destroy?

Last night I saw "Maudie" starring Ethan Hawke and Sally Hawkins. The movie is based on a true story.

The movie was very good. Check it out!

War for the Planet of the Apes. Very good ending to a brilliant prequel series makes me hope they remake Planet now.

Waiting for the new releases; the new films come out on Wednesday over here.

Me and RubberRat are always slobbering about it. You like?

Oh yeah, I haven't watched an Argento film in a while and needed a fix. Love the colors, atmosphere, music, etc. I'll need to watch some of his other movies again as well.

I had a decent amount of Fulci movies a long time ago, but unfortunately they were all stolen and I never started up the collection again. Want to give those a watch again too.

Happy you enjoyed! Three Irises!Turn the blue one! :)

Demons (Demoni) - People get locked in a movie theater and demons start attacking. Real cheese acting but good gore and fun dirt bike scene.

Zombi 2 (Zombie) - it's called Zombi 2 because in Italy Dawn of the Dead is called Zombi. Voodoo zombie film, the most iconic scenes in this film are the Zombie fighting the shark and the eye scene.

I've seen this films before, just rewatching them.

Ghost in the Shell - for a live action version, visually it was pretty good. It was overall entertaining movie, but the story compared to the original comes off trite. Some of the more notable scenes in the live action are from the original, but they are still done well and cool to see in the live action movie.

Gates of Hell/City of the Living Dead - Overall pretty awful, there is some interesting scenes and gore stuff but pretty weak for Fulci stuff.

Shaun of the Dead - a rewatch. Always entertaining, lots of cool Easter eggs to other older zombie stuff and has enough of it's own indentity to stand on its own and still at the top of modern zombie film/tv.

Chopping Mall - First time watch with my roommate. Holy shit was this such a good bad movie. So much fun and fun to make fun of. I can imagine even better on rewatch. Also the first movie I saw a guy with a camel toe, so that was.. something. Definitely a watch for 80s horror cheese fans.

Hey MDL.......

Have you seen Fulci's House by the Cemetery? The uncut version is entertaining. The dubbing is bad/awesome.

I wish I could join in with you guys on the Fulci fandom. My buddies think I'm nuts, but I just don't like his movies. I feel like there's something wrong with me.

BUT--Chopping Mall! That's some shit right there. Love it.

One of my favorite films. Once in a while, I'll crank this up at work to have my co-workers stare at me. I'm the oddball in the office which is fine with me. Rather be who I am than some corporate drone. :)

Hah, you and me must be a lot alike. Unfortunately I never have time for movies at work :/ I've been in a bit of a David lynch fix right now so I've been watching all his films religiously, the most latest film I've seen is actually Lost highway. I really wish they would make a blue ray version of that film sometime.

House by the Cemetary is one of my favorites of his, haven't watched it in a while. Also The Beyond, I am pretty sure is another favorite of mine. I might have saw it under a different name which is why I'm unsure.

Fulci is huge hit or miss, a good portion of his movies are really bad. But there tends to be a lot of decent gore in them which why I tend to watch them. I can understand why people wouldn't like him.

Samurai Cop - Random movie I popped on when looking through Amazon. Fantastic bad early 90s buddy cop movie. So so bad but funny.
