the last film you watched thread

Luc Besson's Valerian.

Extremely disappointing; weak story line; absence of any emotion. Not a patch on Avatar, nowhere as good as the Cinquieme Element, hopeless compared to Lucy.

A real disappointment. I see that it has only made $27 million in the USA.

The Bodyguard - Seeing the musical soon so thought I should watch the movie again.

I wish I could join in with you guys on the Fulci fandom. My buddies think I'm nuts, but I just don't like his movies. I feel like there's something wrong with me.

BUT--Chopping Mall! That's some shit right there. Love it.

Hey Zoltan! No problem! I'm a casual Fulci fan (although I know many hard core fans). I enjoy his films as pure entertainment with huge plot holes and all. LOL! I've never seen "Chopping Mall" but will now look for it......that scene was awesome.

I plan to see "Annabelle 2" next month...and then "It". Not sure what other horror films are being released. I recently watched The Haunting on blu ray. Excellent film!

I've been in a bit of a David lynch fix right now so I've been watching all his films religiously, the most latest film I've seen is actually Lost highway. I really wish they would make a blue ray version of that film sometime.

I would love a blu ray of Lost Highway. I have the DVD that my friend purchased for me a number of years ago in Paris (I have an all-regions player). I've been recording the new Twin Peaks but have not watched it yet.

Tonight I saw "Megan Leavey" starring Kate Mara, Bradley Whitford, and Edie Falco.

This movie was very good! Check it out!

Watching the original night of the living dead as I am trying to get into the Halloween mood and also in remembrance to George Romero.

"I Am Heath Ledger" (2017).

An excellent documentary of this talented late actor. I thought the choice of who to interview on-screen was nicely done and very inspired - a range of individuals including friends/childhood friends, other actors, family members, and directors and those who'd worked with him in other capacities.

^^
That was a great documentary!

War For The Planet Of The Apes - A fitting conclusion to the trilogy. A great movie!

Vacation - I was not expecting much but found it cheap so I thought I would give it a try. Funny movie and any film that has Chris Hemsworth in that little clothing is worth watching!

The Hitcher (1986)

Either the circle I am in doesn't appreciate this movie or this movie is just generally underrated. I haven't watched it in a good while but I knew I liked the film, but on watching it again I really like this film and I find it quite underrated. Rutger Hauers performance as John Ryder is just awesome and such a screwed up mysterious character that is played so well.

If you've never seen this film, it's such a good thriller about a guy who picks up a hitch hiker from the side of the road, who is beyond a few screws loose and from there a bunch of crazy stuff happens. You watch the the main character Jim develop considerably throughout the film because of John Ryder. Lots of thrills and action, very entertaining film with good performances.
