the last film you watched thread

Magic Mike,
the movie sucked, but dam Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello are so hot in that.

Looper .......

terrific

Bruce Willis is a new fav - everything he does is very good

and Joseph Gordon Levitt is good as well

And then, screened with real film, several of Rose Lowder's short films. I think her work is beautiful, here's an example:

sinister,

its all right, not GREAT, but ok. wasn't really super interested in seeing it but i went with i guy i was interested in, he liked it a lot more than i did but it was still ok.

Prometheus.

A lot better than i thought it was gonna be, thankfully it wasn't the usual running through dark corridors from the monsters scenario.
I had seen it in 3D in the theater, but I watched the Blu-ray last night so I could see the many deleted and altered scenes. They reveal why the story and movie in general seemed hacked up. They cut out a bunch that explains the story, and they altered some of it as well. It didn't seem the movie had a solid screenplay to begin with. The extra scenes had commentary with it and many of the scenes were cut out to keep the move at 2 hours. I don't understand that logic; a movie should be as long as the story requires, and this movie did suffer a bit from the story feeling incomplete and aimless.

The Eye Has To Travel. Interesting, fun to watch, but disquieting.

Gosford Park.

Just bought it on Blu-ray.

I've seen it many times. So many characters and storylines moving seamlessly in and out of frame. Robert Altman was a master filmmaker.

Sinister.

It wasn't bad. Wasn't great either though. Would I recommend it? I'd recommend you wait until it's on video/netflix. It felt very "recycled".

^ Doesn't it! Absolutely gorgeous on Blu-ray.

Ridley Scott always has stunning visuals in his films.
