DVD - The Amazing Spiderman (recently) -- it was really good too. Second best only to Spiderman 3.

Theater - It's been a long time since I've been to the movies and I'm kind of ashamed of that. But in 2005 I went to see Kingdom of Heaven with my cousin...I think for his birthday.
 
Lady Chatterley's Lover on Blu-Ray - With Nicholas Clay and some French chick... Its such a travesty that man was in few movies and was hardly naked!
Sleeping Beauty Disney on Blu-Ray - The animation is amazing and the Prince is hawt! "And yes, I am perving on a Disney Character!
Willow on Blu-Ray - Man Val Kilmer was very hot back then.

Saw 'Warm Bodies', and it was pretty bad. Turn off all your logic circuits, because none of it makes very much sense at all.

Though I was pondering (by the film's logic), would the zombie turn gay if they eat the brains of a gay victim?

I'm no expert, I just like what a like.

Let's start with Clint Mansell. If you like anything about the Black Swan soundtrack, then you could look into Moon or even Sahara has its moments.

I tend to favor haunting, soaring, melodramatic, so there's Hans Zimmer's Inception. 'Time' and 'Dream is Collapsing' are standouts.

Vangelis' Bladerunner score is a classic. I wouldn't say it's for everyone, but it is stellar work. And it holds up beautifully. Could have been composed today, yesterday, whenever--it's so great.

I'm no expert neither, NativeSon. Crap, I'm not even a dilettante. :lol: In fact, maybe you're pointing out something I could pay a little more attention to, given that I like to watch a lot of movies...

I'll look over your picks. Thanks for taking the time to mention them. (I didn't even realize Vangelis did Bladerunner, but of course!)

Asking me for a favorite was hard for me, because it is something I'm weak at, absolutely.

But, whenever I tell people who haven't seen Suspiria to watch it for the first time, I *always* admonish them to turn the volume up.

Watched two very different musicals this weekend.

Sweeny Todd - What is it with musicals these days where people can't sing? It didn't need to be that bloody and apparently a lot of the character interaction from the stage version was omitted. Grade C-

How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying - From 1967 and very dated. But the singing and choreography was wonderful. A fantastic look into corporate culture of the time which is still relevant today. I can see Dilbert working at that company. Robert Morse was so damn cute in this film too and he fit the part perfectly. Grade A
 
Meet The Fokkens...and solid 10/10 ...documentary about two sisters who have worked in Amsterdam's Red Light District for 50 years...I was surprised at how compelling their stories were and I am a fan of these two ladies now. They redefine "keeping it real"

It's funny you say that. I haven't seen Suspiria. I've checked it out from Netf*^%, but it's just been collecting dust on my shelf for the past several months. I know I have to see it, but it hasn't called out to me...just yet.

What can I say? It'll happen--hopefully sooner than later.
