the last film you watched thread

Spent too much $$$ on IMAX Godzilla last night. Special effects weren't enough.

Just watched Frozen.

I thought it was only okay. It would have been better without villains, if it was hand drawn and if it didn't tell such a full story in such a small amount of time.

The American President (1995)

One of my favorite movies.

A great just feel good movie.

It's like by Alfred Hitchcock and it's got lots of cocks.

You can't figure out of 'the stranger' is the hero who enters this new world of the gay beat or the sexy man who may be a killer or the charmingly blasé hetero policeman or the asexual fat observer.

Excellent and with no pixelised fakery!!

Thanks for the mention and recommendation. Now in Netflix queue.

excellent highly recommended movie!

I saw "Belle" this past weekend. It was a great movie that I highly recommend. It's based on a true story about a biracial woman in the 18th century.

A lonely and sensitive housewife finds a kindred spirit in the forbidden form of her brother-in-law, Charulata (1964), Satyajit Ray.

47 Ronin - I thought this was a lot of fun. It has its share of flaws: they overdo it a little with the CGI at times, the accents are a little shaky, and the story feels completely disconnected from contemporary life. But the movie is beautifully shot, the set and costume design is gorgeous, and it has some breathtaking action scenes. Keanu Reeves is perfectly cast, and although I'm not usually that into him, I thought he was very sexy here; Rinko Kikuchi steals every scene she's in, and after this and Pacific Rim, I really want to see more of her. Overall very enjoyable.

Prisoners ---- excellent performances, camerawork and editing.

Broken Embraces (2009).

How can Almodovar make so many films, and so many good ones?

I took this with me on a recent trip to visit my dad. We both enjoyed. :)

I just got back from seeing Maleficent. The other week I went to see X-Men: Days of Future Past.
