the last film you watched thread

Star Wars: Episode III - The Revenge of The Sith. Still as memorably campy as before, dialogue and acting is stilted and horrendous, more hilarious as time passes. Effects wise, hit and miss. The music is way bombastic than I remember.

A mildly interesting urban mystery has a mildly interesting resolution.

Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles (2011).

Edge of Tomorrow. It didn't suck, but I don't think I enjoyed it as much as I thought I would. I generally like weird sci-fi flicks like this. But it seemed too generic and a blend of many other better movies.

What better movies? It was surprisingly terrific. It was everything I look for in big-budget summer popcorn. (I worship the mimics.)

Cruise is looking mighty impressive at 52 though.

I see.

Lowbrow horror-comedy mentioned upthread, Hatchet (2006). The unrated version which I watched has some amusing gore but I think it's primarily a flick for fans of the genre.

I took Belamo's advice and last night watched—

I probably missed some of the subtle jokes because Youtube only had the unsubtitled version and I've only got schoolboy French. :?

Pain & Gain
Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist
And right now: The Lost Boys

Been on a bit of a movies kick lately.

Black Robe on blu-ray.
Stunning cinematography, gorgeous locations and a very engaging story.
Great performances and... and... Aden Young... nice bum. hehehe
Oh... the lead actor is cute too he kind of reminds me of Jimmy Fanz... now there's a porn parody for ya! :D

This weekend we watched, "The Family" directed by Luc Beson, it was great, we both really like Mr. Beson but this was a better treat because it starred Robert De Niro and Michele Pfeifer, it is funny, lots of action and really great.

We also watched, "Better Living Through Chemistry", I highly recommend it! Such a fantastic and well acted movie, funny and Sam Rockwell is amazing. Also Jane Fonda is the narrator with a real potty mouth, she also appears as herself towards the end and she is awesome.

He's halfway through Kandukondain Kandukondain (I Have Found It) (2000) a Tamil adaptation of Sense and Sensibility, but he's not enjoying it that much and keeps putting off finishing it.
