He looks Slavic. And the photo looks to be from the Edwardian period. That implies he may not have been famous until 20 years later.

So can you guys start naming some of them that you post after a few days so we know who they are 😂

I'll post some of the spoilers here, but can't post in invisible font since people use black screens, etc. now.

I'm going to use gray to make them less visible if you don't want to read the spoilers. Will name the ones I posted so far that have not been guessed:

Shelley Winters
Dick Cheney
Shirley Temple Black
Martha Stewart
Emmanuel Macron
Willie Nelson
Phyllis Diller
Lady Gaga
Groucho Marx

Leonard Bernstein thought highly of Patricia Routledge. He chose her for the role of every president's wife of the 19th century in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The show closed after seven performances, but Patricia Routledge was a triumph by all accounts.

I suspect this is not James Franco, unless it is a stylized period photo, but that someone had the same eyes as he does.

Has anyone guessed her? I just can't see through the age. Her coloring is distinctive, but that was often a distorted impression of the lens.

I think that's Mary Teresa Bojaxhiu, aka Mother Teresa. It looks like she's wearing a nurse's uniform.

I knew her skin coloring was a clue. Have only seen photos of her old and wrinkled. Her skin looked like tanned hide. But, her actual coloring looks like it was inborn.

You're miles off. The SAM on the belt buckle (or whatever that is) gives him away. It's Samuel Langhorne Clemens, better known as Mark Twain.
LOL. That's great. I ignored the SAM because I thought it was a red herring. It looks like he may have a large pistol in his lap, or some kind of cleaver or Bowie knife.

I looked again. I'll bet that's printer's type and that is a tool for setting type. He may have been a printer's devil when he was young.

You started out hot...

Here he is a few years earlier

Leo Tolstoy! I've never seen a young photo of him before. He's just some wizened figure in a flocking of whisters in all the textbooks. That means this photo must be from around 1850, and the other one around 1865. I forgot the wealthy got photos much sooner than the rest of us. You can see his intellect in that young photo. Amazing.
