That's the interior of the Roman Catholic Ice Chapel, which was carved out of immobile continental ice. That's one record; the other is that it is the southernmost church building in the world. It was carved out in 1979.

I have to wonder what the floor is like; if it's just bare ice then it could be said that the priest just skates through the liturgy. :eek:
