I know how difficult and frustrating it can be.

You want to hear a real kick in the balls?

My immediate supervisor, who's been with the company over 25 years, has been in the owner's cross hairs as of late.
The owner is a *unique* individual - that is all I will say.
Yesterday, he fired the guy - Oh, I forgot to mention, that the guy was going to retire in the Fall when he hit his next birthday because he'd had enough of the *unique* treatment the cesspool of expense (or is that the most valuable asset?) called employees is *treated* to.
 
I know it is not easy Dustin but it is the way of business. I have been in management a long time and the one main thing you have to remember is you can be friendly with you associates but you cannot be their friend.

First and foremost - You did NOT lose the account.
The Superintendent was playing games, and decided to shit can your company because you wouldn't cover her ass and take the fall.

You also demonstrated PROPER fiduciary responsibility to your Employer FIRST, the school district second - but not the "cover my ass bitch".
 
I'm glad you understand the FACTS, man. That's the first step in wrapping your head around reality, not perception/self-guilt trips.

Your employers *should* have a full rendering of correspondence and such with the School Board when all is said and done, so they know the FACTS regarding their inept Superintendent, too.

Dinner was OK - the company was good.
It was a place we hadn't been to in years - will be years more before we go back.
The NE Clam Chowder was very good.
Everything else was just so-so.
 
When you live in the North East, and lived in New England, it's a situational thing - not a big fan of Manhattan Clam Chowder, though.
