I'm unsighted on US salaries I'm afraid and how they compare to UK ones. I constantly moan about mine, but I never spend anything like as much each month as I earn!

I failed my first application for a college course in April, which really sucked the wind out of my sails. Felt like giving up then and there.

Let's just say mine was on the rather LOW end of the scale! All things considered.

How would one do that?! I generally transfer a portion of every paycheck automatically into my savings account. I don't spend more than I earn!

Some people just run up their overdraft.
