Yeah I'm gonna check it out, hopefully they will put a new spin on this one, and it won't be so predictable. I would actually like to see a male last to the end (and not cause I like cock). The whole female heroine thing has been done numerous times, let's get something different, it's always a big boobed blonde or brunette in an extra small t-shirt, drenched by the rain running through the woods.

It looks pretty tight, so Im definitely gonna check it out. I'm a fan. Don't know if I'll catch it at the theaters though...more than likely will wait till it gets posted on Watch-Movies.net and watch it for free.

Did anyone else notice Jason RUNNING towards his victims in the previews? Interesting...

Re: The new Friday The 3th Movie

I think I'll just wait for it to hit DVD. Wasn't impressed with past ones, so don't think I'll blow my money on a theater visit.

One scene I remember(can't remember which movie tho) the 3 counselors were chatting up, then Jason drops down in front of them, they're screaming, not running, screaming, and he takes all of their heads off with one swing. Seriously, where the fuck is common sense >.<

Re: The new Friday The 3th Movie

Jared Padalecki from "Supernatral" is in it and since I want to shag his brains out, I must go see it.

1) Nasty shows up. Nowhere to run. Odds are, based on years of being a big brother scaring little brothers, they're going to scream without running.

2) If that's the best example you can think of in 10+ movies, you really shouldn't be in a movie theater....

It looks like Friday the 13th, part 20, or whatever number it has reached. Same old stuff. Only now they ran out of ideas with the story and are starting over.

well, I don't go out of my way to see crappy remakes in the theaters, as some apparently do. I watch em on DVD, and usually forget about them in favor of actually enjoyable movies.

Only movies the actually pique my interest I spend my money on in theatres, and am usually pleased about it.

Re: The new Friday The 3th Movie

I have been a huge fan of the Friday the 13th franchise and am so looking forward to this.. I am going to see it on opening day because it's a must for me.

I am very curious on how they are going to do this, From what I understand it is kind of going to be a mish mash of the original 3 movies.

Re: The new Friday The 3th Movie

Surprized Padalecki would do this film. The money moust have been right. He is something to look at!

um supernatural is part of the horror genre.

and he has done two other horror movies that he wasn't the lead in. House of Wax and Cry Wolf.

and this is going to probably open at #1 and make around one hundred million. yeah, i don't know why he would do it.

I really want 2 see this new movie...it looks really good....I will probably love it!!! ;)

Maybe he'll show a little skin and make it worth the price of admission.

Re: The new Friday The 3th Movie

this one looks GOOD!

And actually might bring justice to the Jason name and franchise....

unlike...the Halloween remake which was CRAP!

I Couldn't have said it better, halloween and michael myers own friday and jason but rob zombie is destroying what's left of the franchise (and the sequel to his remake is coming this august also, ugh) but i'm pretty excited to watch this one.

my friend actually went to a screening and it does have some twist to the original movies, but don't expect too much hehe.

This one looks really good. It's the same guy who made the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake.. Which I loved.

So, I'm pretty excited.

To anyone who has already seen it, I'm looking for opinions on it before I actually spend money to see it.

I'm a big fan of the original and as such I've been against seeing it. I've feared it is someone taking the original movie (or original 3, in this case) and tossing it together into a shallow attempt to bring in new fans while likely alienating old ones. However, I've decided to go to various places and get opinions.

To anyone who is a fan of the original, was it disappointing? Having grown up with the original, am I going to have the same feel or at least something similar? Or am I going to walk out of there thinking "Why did I waste my time and money on this?".

I've heard in a few places that this is nothing more than a shallow slasher flick that can only be tied to Friday the 13th by name and Jason and nothing else.

Part of me really wants to think this will be a movie worth watching, but another more realistic part knows what tends to happen with remakes.

I haven't seen the new one.. But I didn't care for anyone of the Jason movies.. minus the second one, which was awesome.

I got bored and went to the midnight showing last night. The movie was better than I expected. It follows your typical slasher flick formula. The dialogue is better than most horror films. The eye-candy is abundant: girls that look like they've walked out of a Victoria's Secret catalogue, guys that look like walking wet dreams (I mean, you've got Jared Padalecki--*drools*-- Travis Van Winkle, and the really cute Asian guy from Disturbia). As for the connection with the original, well, the movie actually picks up after the events at Crystal Lake.

If you want my opinion, check it out. I don't think you'll be disappointed. If nothing else, watching Jason actually do his dirty work is worth it. Because you know practically everyone is gonna die, the suspense is all about how it happens. There were a couple of times when the audience--myself included--burst into applause at Jason's grisly acts.
