I bought her last album "Aaliyah" the day before she died, loved it ever since

Always wonder if she was still making music with Timberland, would she have gotten even more success like Justin Timberlake & Nelly Furtado has

The "Aaliyah" album is A++ from beginning to end...I can listen to it repeatedly without skipping a track...although sometimes I skip Rock The Boat because she died after filming the video for the song, and it makes me sad. I keep "Aaliyah" in my car and listen to it almost everyday. IMO, there's nothing out there by any contemporary r&b/pop princess that comes close.

In addition to the "Aaliyah" tracklist, I love: At Your Best (You Are Love), Are You That Somebody?, 4 Page Letter, Try Again, R U Feelin' Me, Back and Forth, If Your Girl Only Knew, Hot Like Fire (remix), and many others....

I think my favorite may be 'I Refuse'. I loved how dark it was. But she had so many great songs. Such a shame she's passed on.

I thought I'd create a thread for the singer Aaliyah Dana Haughton who passed away on 8/25/01 in a plane crash in the bahamas after shooting the music video of "Rock The Boat". In this thread we can talk about her, post pictures, videos and anything related to her to keep her memory alive forever and ever...

Thanks for making the thread, Andrew! Still can't believe this August will mark the 20th anniversary of her passing. I remember it like it was yesterday.
