Lex. Icon. Devil.
That's funny. It look like he gave his performance 1 out of 10, too.

Did Sherri also tweet about the emperor's clothes ?Sherri Shepard of "The View" tweeted, "The Diva is Back!" and that she loved Whitney's performance.

LOL!

Um...
I'm sorry, but I'm having a lot of troubles with Whitney's performance.
First of all. The years of cocaine abuse are showing. It shows in her down-trodden eyes, her face, her voice which is a pale, crackling shadow of it's former self....
She had the best musicians backing her, the best lighting and stage possible, even the requisite gospel choir... And still, objectively speaking, it was a mediocre performance at best.
Then, there's the lyrical content of that song. She's sort of playing the Tina card here. She's been "beaten down", but she wasn't "built to crumble" and all of that...
Horseshit.
Tina was a victim of horrible spousal abuse and grew up in poverty. Ms. Houston was born into relative privilege and was given a voice from God.
SHE, and no one else is responsible for every line of coke that went up her nose and every pipe that touched her lips.
From the very beginning of her career, she made millions and was treated like royalty, and she squandered it all.
Does she strike you as a woman strong enough to go on tour ? To, in some part, help to reward her fans that have followed her for over 20 years, now ?
It's all she can do to pull herself together for a four minute performance.
All the lights and the dancers and the pomp and circumstance can't hide the fact that she is a self-inflicted shell of her former self.
That must be some strong garlic necklace you're wearing because none of her fanatical fans have refuted your comment.
She must have slipped on that broken glass from GaGa's performance

I think a somewhat "battered" Whitney is still many times better then the so called singers (like Rihanna, Miley, Britney, J.Lo, Beyonce) that dominate the charts now.
