Aretha was brilliant, a true great and from what have read about her, as badass and incredible a person. RIP Aretha, you gave us your all, never holding back... and you'll be missed, and greatly appreciated. You didn't just sing, you empowered and had dignity and class with just the right touch of sass, a true superstar!

It's expected, National Review has a long documented history of racism. Wait, is it still ok to call it that or is that too strong a word? They have a long documented history of an "It's Complicated" relationship with people of color.
