Re: Your thoughts on Beyonce's Girls (Who Run The World)

C'mon, this is Beyoncé we're talking about. If not on the same day of the release, you know we're going to have a deluxe version of 4 with seven additional tracks, twelve remixes and a music video anthology.

I read somewhere that she recorded like 78 songs in the sessions for this album.

Re: Your thoughts on Beyonce's Girls (Who Run The World)

I'm loving all the songs I've heard so far. Can't wait to get this album. Glad she's not following the techno-pop music trend.

Re: The Official BEYONCE thread

And least we all forget the great Grace Jones who brought the outlandish before Mo, Bey and Gaga. All artists take something and add their spin on it and as long they don't say it was totally their idea, I don't see the problem. Bey usually gives props to people who inspire her and you can't tell me the man only done this type of work for Bey and first lady. There were many others in between, they may not have been as known as Bey.

Beyonce to Release New Single on Wednesday

After releasing her first single, "Run the World (Girls)," in April and performing "1+1" last week, Beyoncé will unveil the next single from her forthcoming album, "4," tomorrow.

"Best Thing I Never Had," the fourth track on the 12-song full-length, is set to hit radio on Wednesday (June 1). News of the release first broke when Pittsburgh's Kiss 96.1-FM announced that Beyoncé's label, Columbia Records, tipped off the radio station about the song's release. A rep for the pop star has confirmed to Billboard.com that "Best Thing I Never Had" will also be issued via a press release tomorrow at 8 a.m. EST.

fter Beyoncé unveiled the music video to "Run the World (Girls)" and performed the track at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, the singer debuted "4" album opener "1+1" on the finale of "American Idol" last Wednesday. The new song precedes the June 28 release of "4," which she said uses "a lot of the brassiness and grittiness in my voice that people hear in my live performances, but not necessarily on my records," in an interview with Billboard earlier this month.

Re: The Official BEYONCE thread

Not too into Beyonce. She's talented but I get zero personality from her. I find the whole "I'm really shy so I needa alter ego" Sasha fierce routine childish and silly. Her n Jay-z piss me off. Not because he is ugly but because they are married but never act like a couple. They never touch and hardly ever walk next to each other.

But the main reason I cant get into her is she clearly has her huge gay fanbase to thank for her success. But she hardly ever acknowledges gay fans at all. I saw a Logo interviewer directly ask her a question about her gay fans and she looked so visibly uncomfortable and stumbled her way thru some bullshit. Im guessing she wants to be PC and not take any kind of stand.

People don't like artists just b/c of their talent but also what they stand for and what they represent. To me Beyonce doesnt seem to stand for anything.

Re: The Official BEYONCE thread

I'm gonna have to withdraw my pre-order for the album and do complete my album instead.

I'm glad Beyonce isn't trying to be like Gaga in that regard. With Beyonce, it's about listening to the music and enjoying it...not about socio-political pandering to any one particular group. It makes her more accessible to everyone, not just gay men and their hags. She acknowledges her fans, whatever demographic box they belong to personally is irrelevant.

I agree that Gaga is over the top in anointing herself Queen of the gays. But there doesnt have to be one extreme or the other. Beyonce could show a tiny modicum of support with going all Norma Ray about it. Christina Aguilera (and even Kelly Rowland) is supportive of gays w/o going too nuts about it. That matters to me. Because imo it is a sign of an artists character.

Look I'm not saying what other people should care about when it comes to singers. If all you care about is the songs and the performance you have that right. But I believe there are plenty of talented singers and performers. What makes me like someone is how I can connect to them. Someone like Beyonce, i can never personally connect to.

Re: The Official BEYONCE thread

^That's her support for LGBTs?

She has talked about it in the past and she worked with guys such as Jonte. I'm sure she's aware by now that a major chunk of her fanbase are the girls and "the girls"

Re: The Official BEYONCE thread

I was never big on Beyonce, I couldn't even name/tell you a song she did.
 Of course not, you only know of, can search, find and post the videos to songs of noncommercial/underground artists like Britney Spears, right? Why don't you go spam this section with your blog? There's like 4x the amount of members in there! K? Thank you. Luv u.

Would someone please give the man a chair!?

Re: The Official BEYONCE thread

Is she already working on her second video???

Re: Beyonce Takes A Fall In Concert

Rihanna would never have fallen like this. She walks half an inch off the ground at all times, and would've gently floated off the steps onto the stage like a cloud.

Umbrella la la la la la...
