i heard the whole album, and i dont think its very good.

she tries too hard to be original, when obviously shes not..

Probably "Get me bodied" or "Crazy in love". I prefer her songs with Destiny's Child much better. B-Day CD wasn't very good IMO!!

Her new album is truly awful, indeed. Extremely boring and absolutely lifeless. Beyoncé seems to be in a musical coma all through the album, that's why I didn't like any of her new songs with the exception of "Halo".

Back to the original question: My favourite song is "Déjà Vu".

I think you have to look at the new album as Beyonce part one and part two.
The first of the two CD set is more of the kinda upbeat stuff most people like her to do. While the second disk is mellow and sweet.
Me... I like the second disk, that's the one I wanna listen to late at night with a little wine. The first disk is for the car, more upbeat and fun to drive to.

My dearest friend, I really like Beyoncé, so believe me when I tell you that I have given more than a dozen chances to her new album but with each new listening things only get worse.
Disc 1, or "I Am", the mellow one, is a nightmare. Booooring... It's like an endless nap with a beautiful voice on the background.
Disc 2, or "... Sasha Fierce", the upbeat one, is slighty better, but after two tracks takes a mortal dive, especially when the idiotic "Diva" makes its entrance.
The Deluxe Edition features five more tracks, and a couple of them are actually better songs than the ones featured on the regular edition.
Beyoncé's first two albums were great, especially "Dangerously in love", but this one, unfortunately, is her weakest effort ever.
Maybe she should take a peek at Kanye's "808s & Heartbreak". That's what a call a true musical masterpiece.

I love Beyoncé, I can't just pick one song.

I think her new album is great. It's obviously different from what she has been doing, but instead of comparing it to her old work I enjoy it for what it is. I mean B'Day was full of upbeat pop/r&b chick anthems so this one in contrast slows things way way down. I enjoy the feel to it. There's only one song that I don't care much about (That's Why You're Beautiful) but the rest is brilliance.

Love a lot of her songs but the one I can say is my all time favorite that I could listen to and don't get tired of is Dangerously In Love.

Beyonce isn't Etta James. Sorry. I won't argue that Etta James is better than Beyonce (I can't imagine Etta singing "Bills Bills Bills") but Beyonce just comes from a completely different field. Beyonce's three songs on the CR soundtrack aren't horrible, but they don't come close to bringing to mind Etta James. Hopefully, she does better in the acting realm.

Well, was that supposed to be the intent? Was Beyonce trying to be Etta James on the CR soundtrack? If so, I am not surprised as they have two completely different types of voices soooooooo...

Anyway, I am with you Lex. I am hoping that she does better in the acting realm for CR. I mean, she cannot get worse than Carmen: The Hip-Hopera.
