Ali Larter is not the greatest actress I know, but compare with Beyonce, she's still much more preofessional. This could be a real chanlenging charecter for Beyonce. Finally she could not play herself again this time.

Well, Beyonce is improving as an actress. I mean, if anyone remembers Carmen: The Hip-Hopera, then you'll know what I mean. Even Cadillac Records seemed more like Beyonce in a blonde wig as opposed to Etta James.
From the looks of the trailer, there are some parts where she still looks like she is not emoting. Anyway, I'll have to see the actual movie and how she does in the context of the movie before I can make any judgments.

That's why it is called technique. Otherwise, anybody could be called a dancer. Even if that were not the reasons, styles such as African have certain meanings behind their movements, so if they are not executed correctly, then the meaning and attitude is lost.
