You know I like you, but...you're wrong about some of this. LOL.
First, April was still there using her relationship with Ollie to guilt him into spilling the beans about Brian. Of course it was all Libra (who is one of the most perceptive people I've ever seen on this show) who came up with it, but Ollie would have more incentive to lie had he not been in
lurrrrv with April. See what I mean? He outed his alliance because Apwil batted hew wittle weyes and acted all pouty and hurt. And the fact is, April has been at least marginally involved (through association with Libra) in controlling the first two HOH's while Ollie has mostly laid around. I'm not saying April doesn't like Ollie -- she seems very infatuated with him indeed -- but this may be the one year where both of them feel equally for each other. They're either 1) both completely sincere (like Lisa and Eric in Season 3) in which case when they inevitably end up on the block together, Ollie will survive because April has a larger target on her back, and Ollie may be able to slide all the way to the end after his lover's eviction the way Lisa did, OR 2) April is playing/controlling Ollie the way Will/Drew/Eric controlled Janelle/Diane/Jess.
So either way, Ollie is "the girl" this time around
Now for your BB history (which is off). First, Drew
never saved Diane. Not
once. Oh my god. I watched that entire season and followed it religiously on the feeds and it's on youtube if you wanna go take a look. Diane earned every penny that pretty asshole took home.
He played
her. Her feelings were always stronger and he knew that (and he had a girl back home) and still he told her what she wanted to hear, even making post-game promises he knew he would never keep (and that to me was crossing the line). And as for the Horsemen? She never needed "saving" from the Horsemen. In the first few weeks, the Horsemen were too busy trying to get Lori and the old guy who was unto them to even bother thinking about Diane (even though Scott/Jase didn't like her), so Drew never had to "save" her. Then the rest of the house was able to get Drew to put up Holly (playing on Scott's jealousy as well) and Holly went home. Then Diane won HOH (perfect timing too since this was when Scott/Jase blew up at her and would have been gunning for her) and from there on, it was downhill for the two frat guys. Scott was evicted during Diane's HOH reign and Jase went the next week as a victim of the six finger plan during Nakomis' reign.
DIANE was the one who then allowed Drew to slide (he should have been next on the hit-list) by pulling him into the girl's alliance and then teaming up (for like one week) with the twins when Adria was HOH to even out the numbers so Drew wouldn't be the target. Then when it was down to F5 and Nakomis won HOH, Drew was finally the target but Diane came up with the plan for the boys to help her win POV so she could use it on Drew, Nakomis would have no choice but to put Karen up, and Diane and Dew as the only voters that week could save Cowboy and send Karen home. This was
all Diane. And she did it all because she was blinded by her feelings for Drew and her own desperate, pathetic need to be loved. Trust me. He played her.
As for Janelle and Will? Please. If I hear one more person say "They played each other" I will lose it. You're a logical person
aijalon (as proven by the race debate we fought together last week) so follow this: when there are only two people and "playing" is involved...
they both cannot be playing each other! If one person is "playing" then the other person is the one
being played. It's that simple. Janelle kept repeating that lie after the show to hide her real feelings but it was obvious that she had a crush on Will and he didn't feel as strongly about it. Oh he liked flirting with her to be sure, but at the end of the day, he only wanted friendship. It's OK for Janelle to tell that version because she needs to hold on to her pride but there's no reason for logical viewers to pretend it's true. I like Janelle and I was rooting for her in Seasons 6 & 7 but she's not the brightest girl. She did
everything that Will told her to do all season, and the only time she turned on him was when it was too late (by then Boogie was already guaranteed a F3 spot and indeed ending up winning) and even then -- with all the glaring signs and obviousness of it all --
even then Janelle couldn't get from "I have the POV and the sole vote" to "Will needs to be evicted" on her own. She needed Erika to draw her a map (poor Erika was exhausted. It's not easy trying to appeal logically to someone who was as dickmatized as Janelle was by Will).
Will never did anything Janelle wanted and even refused to kiss her, even when she threw herself at him shamelessly in the pool. And after she was evicted? Oh the humiliation did not stop! You could see Janelle on the jury bashing Erika and pleading for Boogie to win in an obviously desperate attempt to get Will to like her -- she was even laughing too hard at everything he said and falling all over him, touching his legs and burying her face in his lap, and all the while Will looked thoroughly uncomfortable. It was almost painful to watch and the sad ironic truth is: after all the shit talking Janelle did about Diane and how pathetic Diane was to fall for Drew and blow her own game...Janelle went and did the same thing two years later with Will. I still like her, mind you, but let's call the truth when we see it and not be clouded by favoritism. I can like her and still admit that she was kind of a dunce during All Stars.
And Eric and Jess? Um yeah...gross for sure but he totally controlled her. I mean lord...at least Diane and Janelle were feisty and spunky and cool. Jess had no mind of her own outside of Eric and played an disappointing and timorous game for someone capable of winning multiple HOH competitions.
Let's not rewrite history. These girls were
PLAYED. Time will tell whether April or Ollie is "the girl" this year.
