Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

Dan is up in HOH basically asking her why Angie. And I'm having trouble hearing it because stupid loud mouth Michelle on the other feed. Keesha is basically telling her that Angie suggested Keesha put Dan up instead of her.

This looks like it's going to be a long convo and I'm afraid I don't have the time :(

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

Dan lost major points. He kissed Keesha's ass. I really hope he was faking it but she was just feeding him shit about how Angie tried to get him put up (which she totally didn't to my knowledge).

Keesha insist that Angie is a bad friend and a manipulator and it's hte small things. Dan notes that Angie made dinner tonight. And Keesha pounces on it saying that that's right.

Really? Really? If she makes food for herself she's taunting you and if she makes food for the house she's manipulative?

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

Jessie's getting paranoid. He thinks Angie can stay. He told Memphis. Memphis relayed to Angie that she may have the votes to stay.

Angie: Damn it!

lol I love her. Angie than goes on to say that she's irritatedthat Michelle isn't neutral.

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

Angie does look kind of lost with these people.

Keesha has it so embedded in her brain that Angie is out to get her, when I think it's just jealousy. I think Renny was right when she told Keesha she was falling in love with Steven. I also think that Keesha was jealous of Steven's friendship with Angie and I think, too, that Steven telling Keesha before he left that she should align herself with Angie threw Keesha off base.

This thing with Keesha being angry with Angie because she thinks Angie got off easy with the Brian situation is total bullshit. The thing that rubs me the wrong way is the paranoia everyone has of everyone else talking to someone. When Brian was on the block he made a concerted effort to have a good time while he was there. Steven did the same thing after his nomination, and yet, with the two of them everyone was ostracized for talking with them. Now it's Angie that is off base to talk with.

Keesha doesn't know the truth or if she does she's a conniving bitch.

Dan, looking cute and wanders around in a sea that is full of sharks and he is trying to understand how to be cutie Dan without turning into a shark, too.

I am sorry Angie got her feelings hurt.

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

Someone on Jokers made a very good point. They said that Keesha wants Memphis and sees Angie as a threat to that because he always hangs out with Angie rather than her.

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

I didn't witness this myself but there seems to be a pertinent update about this morning on Jokers...

"Keesha told Jerry what Jessie did to Libra last night and that he's been saying "Bye bye" and blowing kisses to Libra. Jerry says, "He needs to get out of here."

Keesha says he doesn't know how close she is to switching things up. She said she's going to tell Jessie, "It's not Wednesday yet. You might want to watch what you say." Jerry tells her that's a good idea."

Go Jessie, you campaign for Angie hard over the next three days.

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

It seems official. A/O/L Had a pow wow and they're going to talk to Keesha. They want Jessie out before Angie. They then go on to say that they think they're all safe next week. Worse case scenario (to them) is that if they loose HOH next week it'll be Jerry/Libra and they'll just send Jerry home. They don't really seem to care at all.

Meanwhile Jerry is literally counting every lightbulb in the house and noting the wattage in case they ask how many lightbulbs are in the house during the next HOH or for their total wattage. He seems very proud of himself and completely ignorant to KOLA willingness to cut him adrift next week.

He also keeps bitching about how Jessie called him "father time." I think he'll jump on the get rid of Jessie before Angie train with no problem.

Jessie is bragging to Michelle about how he bullied a 75 year old man.

And for Nik.... Shortly after that Dan is outside teaching Ollie and Renny how to swim. April is shouting useless tips. Dan decided that Renny should be in the intermediate class. Now they're trying to teach Ollie to float. Libra just offered Ollie the tip of bending back "like you're getting baptized."

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

YES! I hope Angie stays! How stupid would it be to put up Jerry? I doubt JAMM would do that, Libra/Keesha or Libra/April would be smarter. Jerry is a floater once the other side gains power he'll be kissing ass and jump ship, so will Dan and Renny.

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

Actually Jerry HATES Jessie, Memphis, adn Michelle. There's no way he's floating anyway. Would still be dumb to take him out just because he's generally useless. Though he does pose the classic "I'm Grodner's favorite" threat.

Angie to Memphis on the couches: I can't wait til I loose that feeling of wanting to punch people when I hear their voices.

And later in the conversation

Angie: It is really sad when Renny ends up being one of the normal people in the group.

Angie is classic.

Yes, but from a game point of view Jerry wont pose a threat in comps. I get that Memphis wants him out before sequester, but he's useless and Libra will be a smarter way to go.

Yeah but the issue with the Grodner's favorite threat is that now that he's been going around counting light bulbs if he's nominated the veto will magically be... guess how many light bulbs there are.

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

Last night's episode was like a comedy of errors. I was crying during the food competition. I dunno if it's editing but April looks so fucking dumb. She's a disaster on 2 legs. As awful as she was she was talking shit about Renny the whole time. April and Ollie's little pillow talk made no fucking sense. What were they talking about with that road sign shit?
I do like how they are going all out for competitions with these costumes and sets. This one was really cool. I like it almost as much as the bees and flowers one from all stars. Michelle also got an edit that made her look "special." They've got quite a cast of characters this go round.

Poor Angie. It does such everyone hates her. I would have liked to see her get some power but i think she would have gone after my girl Libra. And she can't go yet she's like the lightening rod of the house. I think Libra is the only person that gets why Angie is a threat. April and Keesha seem to want her out for bonehead reasons. But i think Libra sees what I see. Angie is the type of girl who the guys will always want on their side. She's pretty honest and although she's mostly sucked I think she can pull out a win in the right competitions. She really is a threat in the game. I'd prolly get rid of Jessie though at this point. He's a fuckin basket case.

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

Keesha, Libra, and April were in HOH but when I went ot put the feed on all I heard was April "Well there went that idea" and it cut away.

My guess is Keesha shot down the keep Angie idea.

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

-- Dan being adorable after Steven's eviction, Dan being adorable during the food competition, Dan being adorable in the HOH room with Keesha (why don't these two get together?), Dan being adorable in the Diary Room, Dan being adorable at the Nomination Ceremony...

My favorite part too :)

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

Renny sounded like she smokes 3 packs a day. She was so hoarse during the comp. I was LMAO.

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

Libra bitches about Angie almost just as much as April and most of it isn't game related. Whether she wants her out for game reasons or not, how she treats her and her reasons of hating her are horrible. Angie is NOT a threat. She's bad at competitions and doesn't make an effort to come up with plans and ideas to stay. Who cares if the guys like her, doesn't mean they'll let her stay in their group longer. The guys who like her left are Memphis/Jessie/Dan, even if she did have those 3 it's not more than other people. Jessie/Memphis/Michelle all won and came close to winning more competitions.

In the right climate Angie is most certainly a threat. She's a dangerous floater like Ollie. Dangerous floaters, as I've described earlier in this thread, lay back and than at the end of the game snatch a win out of nowhere (Adam anyone?)

So in what climate and to who are dangerous floaters more dangerous than direct competition threats?

I first must say (And I know Nik will provide like a million counter examples from seasons I haven't seen :P) my observation of Big Brother are as follows:

1. The house has a tendency to split into two distinct groups.
2. There is also a tendency for these groups to eventually become apparent
3. A handful of people to lie on the outside of these
clearly established core groups. These people are "floaters"
4. There are malignant floaters, who fly under the radar only
to win at the end, and benign floaters, who are generally unable
to win either the game as a whole or individual competitions
within it.

My following analysis of the danger of "floaters" will be founded on those basic principles.

So to the question at hand under what conditions and to whom do malignant floaters make a better target than challenge threats.

To whom....

Other floaters- The fewer floaters the better. A floater largely draws his/her power from their ability to swing back and forth. When an alliance has their back against the wall there is much value in that vote and floaters are often the last hope of an alliance out of power. However the more free votes there are the less important any one vote is. Therefore the less floaters there are, the more powerful any one floater becomes. So it is in the best interest of floaters to rid themselves of other floaters.

Weak Alliance Members- If you're low on the pecking order you're likely to be the one the apposing alliance targets last. That means you're going to have to hang in their a while and better hope that there are no malignant floaters around to pick at the carcass of your alliance and take the prize for all you/your allies work.

To whom are malignant floaters of least importance?

Figure Heads- When you are the face of your alliance it's likely if the other side wins you will be going up. This means you can't afford to play the long game too much because you very well might not get there. People who are perpetually at risk of eviction must be concerned with being able to win multiple veto/HOHs if they want to make it to the end.

When?

Detente- In times of peace between the two core groups it's often wiser to pick off weak players who won't be avenged than to start full out war with the other group. It's inevitable that a war must start but if you're the one to start it you risk becoming a figure head.

When not to?
Times Of War- When the war has been started anyone with a clearly stated allegiance takes priority. This is because they have an increased chance of coming at YOU if you have an established allegiance. (this of course doesn't apply for floaters who shouldn't win competitions and need not worry about any of this).

So as to the question of Angie. The house has shifted, as has Keesha's position, during the past week. It's moved to a time of war. During the detente that surrounded nominations Keesha (a low ranking alliance member) had a legitimate reason to get a malignant floater outof the house. But as she's elevated up the pecking order and the house moves to the time of war her, Libra, Ollie, and April should all be more concerned with Jessie.

Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa

Libra is up in HOH with Keesha and Renny.

Libra is hardcore campaigning to get Jessie out.

lmfao. Libra just said that the only way she's voting for Jessie (if he makes it to the end) is if the person he's sitting up there with has tried to strangle everyone in their sleep.

Libra has (rather skillfully) gotten Keesha to move into Jessie bashing, calling him a mooch and someone who mistreats women.

It's not only about the bitching. Libra has a knack for figuring things out. Keesha flip flops way too much. April is just an idiot. I dont know how she was even cast. It is important I believe, that the guys like Angie. Because they always want to keep her around. The guys are never targeting her. It's the girls only. Maybe it's just a feeling but I dont think we've seen the best of Angie. But she is a dangerous floater. But I do agree she always seems to be phoning it in.

Keesha should get rid of Jessie. I believe he might be crazy. I think Jessie is definitely putting Keesha up anyway if he wins HOH. It would be smarter to destroy the Memphis/Michelle/Jessie/Angie alliance's strongest member. Angie is pretty much a fringe member anyway. Either way if any of them get hoh their main target is Libra. And prolly April after Libra. They're really not that mad at Keesha.
