First off, Dan's religion is irrelevant. It has nothing to do with the game. He's never promised anyone that he won't lie or play the game just because he's Catholic. He did, however, say that he would try to refrain from cursing, drinking, having sex in the house, etc. Does he curse? Somewhat. Does he drink? I've seen him have a beer. Does that make him a terrible person? No. You can be a "moral" person and still make mistakes. There's not a damn person walking this earth who's perfect, and I've never heard Dan claim himself as such.
All game-related decisions are completely irrelevant because, like I said, he never promised anyone that he'd go through the game without lying. Another thing that's interesting to note... Dan has never shoved his beliefs on anyone. He doesn't walk around the house preaching from the Bible like Natalie did last season. He's not banging it over anybody's head or claiming to be holier-than-thou or better than anyone because of his beliefs. Shit, he doesn't even talk about it unless someone asks him about it. So I don't see how Dan's using his religion to further himself in the game. Now, if idiots like Ollie want to believe that Dan's never going to lie or stab him in the back just because he's religious, then that's Ollie's stupidity.
At the end of the day, this is a game. Play or get played. Unfortunately for Ollie, he's spent all this time not playing... so his ass got played.
For me, the difference between Dan and Ollie is this: Ollie's making it personal. Calling Memphis a "faggot" and telling him to suck his dick... calling Dan an "undercover faggot." Threatening physical violence and destroying property. All of that is taking it just a bit too far. If Ollie could take all of that energy and channel it into the game, I could respect him. But he's letting his anger get the best of him and he's just falling apart, making attacks and statements that are completely personal when it's JUST. A. GAME. I can't and won't respect that.
Plus, let's not forget, Ollie's the preacher's son and claims to be a "good boy," too. Not cursing, not drinking, chanting that gays will burn in hell. Why is it okay for "religious Ollie" to pull schemes and lies in the game, but it's not okay for Dan? Just last night, he was accusing Dan of being the one who came up with the plot two weeks ago to save Libra at the last minute, when that was really him and April's plan. I mean, shit! If you're going to pull schemes and try to play the game, more power to ya. But at least be man enough to own your shit.
