Nik, I was JUST about to say the same thing... I'd rather see Braden go, just to keep the house's entertainment value up, lol.

In fact, out of all 13 houseguests, right at this moment, Braden would be the top of my list of people to go - I don't care for him. But a very close second would maybe be Casey.

Was season 3 (the introduction of the veto) the only time it has been used in week 1?? (when Gerry used it to save Marcellas?)

I'm not overly attached to anyone now... maybe if I was watching them I'd care but meh... Braden's pretty much got screwed for being muscular and not being a "athlete" but I don't care that much.

If he saves his ass he deserves it but it seems impossible. Michele isn't gonna vote to save him she's got an easy out with the 'Chima's my teammate' he's clearly not getting Russel or Nat and his chances of getting Bi-polydia and Ronnie are slim. I see no reason why Casey or Kevin would give a shit enough to go agaisnt the dominant mindset of the house and make enemies and Laura needs to prove herself to the dumb jocks.... So basically he's screwed.

Actually, Braden's pretty entertaining, LoL. Game-wise, he doesn't do much. But he has alot of hysterical one liners.

For example, yesterday after the big Jeff/Russell fight, you could hear sirens in the distance. Everyone looked at each other and Braden randomly says, "Great. Now the cops are coming," LoL.

Then about five minutes ago...

JEFF: "I wouldn't even have lunch with these fuckers."

*pause*

BRADEN: "Unless they're buying."

I agree Braden is pretty funny. I really wanted Jordan to do something to try to save him and somehow get Ronnie on the block and out instead. Or just get rid of Lydia. There seems to be no real method to her madness. But I do want Chima to stay because I think she could really stir some shit up. She's playing it really docile since she's on the block. But i think she's really gonna pinch Jeff's tit if she stays.

Maybe it's just because Russell and Jeff are much bigger douchebags but I find Jessie much more likeable this time around. I still think he is delusional and his gameplay is a mess. But he seems much more pleasant.

Also I just wanna add, Jessie has definitely made himself a huge target now by effectively nominating someone from EVERY other group during just the first week. LOL. He learned nothing from last season and I'll be shocked if he's not evicted in the next couple of weeks.
IKR he's really, really dumb. The only thing in his favor is that Russell and Jeff are more polarizing teammates.

On a side note, I dont recall if this was explained or not but since Jessie is a Jock HOH does that prohibit all jocks from competing in the next HOH. Or can a jock essentially be HOH the entire time these teams last.

I always feel bad for the first person who goes regardless of who it is. In this situation though, I'd rather keep Lydia and Chima. You know they're going to stir shit up.

Nik, I always thought another poster on the board was your partner. My bad... lol. Swoosh.

Natalie needs to be slapped. She's making the rounds today almost as much as Ronnie. Anywhere Braden goes, she turns up to make sure he can't campaign for votes.

She's fucking annoying. She is like a 18 year old brat.

No more Lydia on the block! I'm not a big Chima fan, but I do hope Braden goes home. As nice as he is to look at :).

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned in the thread yet, but Braden was in an episode or two of Dante's Cove, Season 2. He played a surfer guy, and had a little frontal nudity. Look it up...definitely worth it!

I sort of agree with the spirit of your argument, but as I pointed out when you made this comment last year in defense of Steven, I think it's wrong to tell someone else how they should feel as a recipient of a racist/homophobic/sexist comment or action. In other words, if a gay man is offended by Jeff's comment and wants to write him off, that's totally his right and honestly habibi, you're asking the person who feels discriminated against to bear way more burden than the person actively doing the discrimination. Because not only are they discriminated against but they must now give this person a second chance and just ignore not only this comment, but any likely future comments that will come out of the bigot? Please. That's entirely unfair. If you wanna give Jeff another chance (though I have no idea why), that's totally your call. But you shouldn't expect everyone else to.

Damn! You floored me with that, Nik. Thank you!

I am out here and not in there and if I see racism and homophobia I am going to
be very angry with the person. The same in my life. I don't tolerate it and call it out. These are adults and they chose to go on a show and show their ugly selves. I think what irks me most of all is that when Jeff said home and then Fucking fags, Lydia just sat there listening to him. I didn't hear Russell say fag but it was reported and I despise his stupid ass for it too.

and yes, Jessie is far more tolerable this time round than last time. He has not postured and flaunted as much to this point.

Jeff knows that Michelle wants him. She has put herself right in his face with that skin tight pink dress, even to the point of following him around.

I like Kevin. He has been more of a listener than a player thus far.

I kinda like Casey because he waves off all the bullshit with "Why should I care about that?"

Braden can go. He is boring. When he and Jeff were talking about Laura he said something to the effect, "she's not my kind of girl. Don't get me wrong, I'd hit her but she's not gf material."

Jeff chews his finger nails and spits out the pieces. Yuk!

There are nudes of Braden on this thread or another that I have read from Dante's Cove. You might want to back track a few pages.

I understand what you're saying, Nikki, I really do but I don't think I'm telling people how to feel nor do I think I'm urging people to have disproportionate burdens. I'm asking that everyone try their hardest to understand each other, not just in a game but in life. I understand how you or others may feel that it's the burden of the person who is ethically wrong to right him/herself adn maybe in the grand scheme of life that is the more just or more fair thing... but in my view and in the sake of practicality just because someone is wrong doesn't mean doing the right thing will be an easy for them than it will be for the recipient of a wrong to have the strength of will to forgive/understand that person. Life is never going to be black and white and I geuss I just think that doing the right thing, to me, should never be based on a reference point of a different person. To say 'Hey! I shouldn't have to be an open and non-judgemental individual because the flawed person who is attack me is not.' is to adopt the flaw of the person you perceive as flawed.

I get it and I don't condemn natural emotion. Anger, fear, rage... all natural all healthy but deciding to maintain that anger so it can fester into hate... not so good. And I'm not saying I'm perfect and I'm not guilty of this. There are people in real life and in the media who widn me up more than I'd like and who I wish I could be more patient and understanding with but I geuss what it boils down to is the fact that I don't feel like reading someone condemn every time someones name comes up just because of one comment because I think if all of us were under the microscope there've been things we've said and done that could be used to label us and I don't want people thinking those things about me because even if I said somethign once or did something once that's not the person I am, I'm a far more complex person as I'm sure everyone is.

She's handling the block amazingly. I'm impressed. Brains indeed.

You're history doesn't support your statements. If memory serves you were on Steven side last season despite his clearly racist comments. If I'm correct you were also the one who maintained that we, gay people, need to support all gay individuals BECAUSE they're gay a statement that's just as biggoted as anything you're "calling out" which is my point when I say people should try to understand others for the whole.

If memory serves Steven only called Libra "colored", not exactly the most appropriate word but I dont think that makes someone a racist. I dont believe he ever repeated that or said anything else. I believe Jeff has said fag, homo, gay more than once and uses it negatively.

No he made another racist comment about her and he made an outright RACIST joke: "If a Mexican and a Black person are in the backseat of a car, who's driving? Answer: a cop."

Totally a racist asshole and it's the reason I didn't really care for Steven that season and didn't mind when he was evicted.

LOL. I disagree with falconfan slightly on this issue, but...he's got you there joesman.

I also remember you not having a problem with Randy on Survivor even though he was outright racist, so I don't think it's fair to say that you call out discrimination whenever you see it. It's more fair to say that you take offense whenever you perceive (correctly or incorrectly) that a gay person is being slighted, and in this instance (Jeff on BB11) you happen to be correct. But let's not pretend you're as equal about all types of discrimination. I'm not trying to rile you up or accuse you of anything (and lord knows I don't wanna have another fight with you), but I'm just stating the facts as your history on this board would indicate.

I stand corrected then, he's an idiot.

Hah so Braden goes up.

As many others have said, better Braden then Chima because Chima will cause havoc in the house at some point. Braden is just Braden...

I hope one of the Brains/Casey/Kevin win HOH. Whether a whole clique should be banned from playing the HOH competition, I think it'd be a good idea if the whole clique sits out. Probably another 'twist' that is announced on Thursday?

IA. I doubt that will be the case though. I find it unfair how the challenges are set up. Obviously endurance/physical challenges=edge for the popular/athletes. Mental/Strategy challenges=edge for the outcasts/brains. They should balance the challenges out by having a mix of both physical and mental.

No Steven told racist jokes several times
