^No crazy who is Velma in the BB cast?
Chima sit your ass down. That was so tacky she did that to Braden on a live show. And WTF Laura? You was kicking ass in that HOH comp, how did you get that wrong?
Ronnie, Casey, Michele, Jordan and Jeff are all in the pool room trying to figure out who voted outside of the group.
It sounds like Ronnie's trying to blame the hinky vote on LAURA.
Dude she had to say that especially since cbs edited everything racist from what Braden said to the point that it didnt make any cohesive sense. I know I'm only saying this because she's black and I'm mostly black so all I want is black people to win everything in life. I kinda dug her sass overall. Everyone usually acts so Sesame Street on the live show.Velma is Lab Girl, Neuroscience Chick. Get with it aijalon! LOL.
OK a few thoughts:
1. PLEASE let's not have a ton of posts about how Chima shouldn't have said that on Live TV. You know what? You can't blame the girl for trying to stay in the House, and she did exactly the right thing! I'm always saying that people should use that time to actually try to sway votes, and she did just that. Good for her! I don't think it's why Ronnie voted the way he did, but she had every right to say it, and it actually made me like her more. Also, I know a few people here have argued that making biogted remarks doesn't make you 100% a bad person, and OK I'll go with that for the same of argument. No, making bigoted remarks doesn't necessarily mean you're an all-round bad person, but it does mean you're a bigot! If you don't wanna be called a bigot then you know what? DON'T MAKE BIGOTED STATEMENTS. It's very easy. Braden deserved that, Chima had every right to say it, it made for some awesome TV, and I don't care one bit that he's gone. Kick rocks Braden!
2. This was easily the most exciting first eviction ever in BB history!
3. I still disagree with aijalon's assertion that this wasn't the best move for Laura (come on, after hearing her talk to Jordan? The way they saw it, there'd be 7 people on their side playing for HOH vs 4. Why wouldn't you take those odds?) but I also don't necessarily think that Ronnie did the wrong thing for himself. Look, he was fucked either way, but siding with the jocks at least means he's safe if the jocks won HOH, and if the other side won HOH, clearly they weren't going to target him first. He could also either blame the vote on someone else (Casey? Hell with that many people left in the house he'd have enough wiggle room to deny his vote) or he could say he had to keep Chima because she's his teammate and he made a promise to her etc. There was no way this vote was gonna lead to him being the # 1 target if the Populars won HOH, so in retrospect, I actually think he did the right thing for himself by voting Braden out.
3. That HOH comp was tense! You know Jeff didn't wanna win, and once Lydia eliminated Jordan, there was no one for Velma, Ronnie or Casey to hide behind. LOL. These elimination comps are bad for floaters because they usually result in the big guns being eliminated first, and unless a floater intentionally eliminates him/herself (as Will and Erika did during a similar comp on BB7), they probably have a good chance of winning an HOH they really don't want to win. I'm sure Velma was sweating bullets and at that point, I'm sure she wanted Ronnie to take it. Now she gets to sit back and float again while Ronnie takes the lumps for his HOH week. Good girl Velma.
4. Ronnie did the right thing for himself with his vote, but make no mistake, he's a sloppy player. He is still operating under the assumption that flashy moves and talking all mastermindy makes him a great strategist and a great player, even if there's no overarching reason for any of it. That he voted the best way for himself was purely an accident, an unusual moment where doing the "look at me, I'm a schemer!" move coincided with his best move. If he makes it to the end and wins, it will be because everyone stupidly bought into that idea that he's a great strategist (like Todd winning Survivor China or Dick Donato winning his season). Not because he actually is.
5. I'm not sure Ronnie winning HOH is a good move for him. It could help him get out of the bind he put himself in last week, but it will likely also lead to revealing his alliances, and therefore placing him firmly with one side of the House. Which is not what great players ever want this early in the game. Which is more proof that he isn't a great player.
All in all, AWESOME episode!!
RONNIE: "I said that I wouldn't come in this game swearing on my life, but I swear on my life I voted to evict CHIMA. We will find out who lied."
Ronnie will have to pick a side now that he's HOH.
PERIOD.
Laura knows it was Ronnie but she's not letting him know she's wise to his bullshit.
RONNIE: "Guys, I'll be honest with you, it was really hard for me to vote Chima out after what she said out there. That was the hardest thing I had to do saying 'I vote to evict Chima.'"
Stop shit stirring please and telling me what I'm thinking... Laura's sacrificing herself because she put a real target on her head. She was only being nommed before because she was the least liked. She wasnt a real target and wasnt gonna be on the jocks radar for a while since they were making many other enemies. But by breaking her word, she's top of the list for the jocks and the most expendable on the other side. Jeff who's supposedly part of her side even mentioned recently if he won hoh he'd put her up with Lydia.
I dont remember that with Ollie. Maybe that was after Libra left and I stopped watching. I honestly dont recall. it doesnt suprise me though. You know I'm no fan of his, even though he's black. What a shocker? I definitely wouldnt have made excuses for that shit. I never made excuses for Ollie. i thought he was a piece of shit. I prolly ragged on him more than most. Most other people were so busy hating April.I know, it was stupid that they did that. But they do that all the time. Last year Ollie made outright homophobic remarks all the time and they edited it out (and even changed "faggot" to "cabbage patch"). And anyone who thinks Chima shouldn't have said that has either 1) Decided they're on Team Braden no matter what, even if it means defending his racism 2) Decided to hate Chima no matter what or 3) All of the above.
Yes exactly. It makes no sense but of course, that's Ronnie. He likes to talk about being the strategist on BB more than actually being one.
I refuse to argue this with you again, especially when you dismiss the compelling reasons. This move would have 7 of her people playing for HOH vs 4, this move would allow her MORE wiggle room in a larger alliance vs an alliance where she was actively hated, very expendable, and would have no chance of breaking into the trio (Jessie/Russell/Natalie) or the duo (Lydia/Kevin), and this move would keep Braden in the house and therefore keep the animosirt going between Jessie/Russell and Braden/Jeff, which could only benefit everyone else including Laura.
LOL, yeah well I may have accused you of siding with Chima just because she's black (and I still think that's true) but some people in this thread are doing somethngn even worse: ragging on Chima just because she's black, and I refuse to side with that.
But I'm as wary of being on your team as Jeff is of being on Jessie's team. According to you, I don't have a mind of my own etc? I say exactly what I believe, I see both sides of most issues, and I've had no problem agreeing and disagreeing with you, or falconfan or anyone else on multiple fronts, yet you had the nerve to say that to me? I know enough to realize that being on your team (for you) means blindly agreeing with you all the time, and that's not how I roll.
