The Official "Big Brother 12" Discussion Thread!

I'm confused.

This is the final paragraph of Julie Chen's blog on EW.com.
Just a reminder to everyone that our schedule is a little different next week – eviction show on Wednesday night (Final 3 will be revealed) and as always a LIVE show on Thursday, but no eviction.
If there's no eviction on Thursday, why is there a live show?

Perhaps the final HOH will be crowned on Thursday but they won't choose who to boot until Sunday. Does that mean Sunday's episode will be live? Will it be pre-taped like Wednesday's episode? If so, how long will the feeds be blocked? Hours? Days?

Wait... nevermind.

Sunday's episode will probably be a retrospect episode as usual. Part 2 of the final HOH competition will be played on Thursday and Part 3 will be played live on finale night. We'll probably still have three people in the house next Wednesday just like last season (Kevin/Natalie/Jordan) and that's when the final eviction will take place. Lame.

I do so love teasing you aijalon. You're always so angry and easily riled up. ;)

If Brendan survived and Britney had gone, they'd prolly be bitching about how Britney was such a spoiled princess and they would have never given her the money. And they'd be saying Brendan IS an awesome player for lasting so long in the game. People always talk shit about someone no longer in the game.

Hayden and Enzo were saying these things in a private conversation with EACH OTHER i.e. without Britney or Lane. So if they wanted to trash her, they could have. She wasn't present, and she already lost POV and was already going home this week.

You're making wild assumptions and conclusions as usual.

Hee. This is rich. I'm not the one who said

-- That the boys would respect Brendan's game (even though they've outright said they don't).
-- That a person who won 3 POVs and an HOH wasn't a good competitor (even though she beat others to do it).
-- That Britney's inability to win physical comps made her not a good competitor, unlike Janelle (even though Janelle never won physical comps and mostly won Trivia).
-- That only Britney really wanted to win that "endurance" POV (even though Monet, Rachel, Enzo, and Brendan all tried to win it).
-- That Britney didn't throw the 2nd HOH endurance competition (even though she clearly had every motivation to throw it and stated clearly that she threw it in the Diary Room).
-- That Lane would ultimately choose the Brigade over Britney (even though he was going to take her to the end had he won POV).
-- That Matt shouldn't even try to save himself because he would lose jury votes (even though he wouldn't be present to get ANY jury votes if he didn't save himself).
-- That two posters in this thread were giving Britney credit as a competitor solely because we wanted her to win (even though we were saying her competition wins were exactly why they should have evicted her last week).

And these were just off the top of my head.

And Brendan obviously wanted Britney on his side. everybody says they wanna go to the end with everybody. His whole point of being handcuffed to her was strategy. Duh. But of course we're thinking in Britneyverse so Brendan must have meant it.

More proof that you don't read carefully before huffily reply. Brendan had this conversation alone and to himself on the feeds with no one else present. It was basically a soliloquy, so, yes I think he meant it. Unless he was lying to himself or trying to manipulate himself which I'm sure you'll have some cockamamie justification for.

You have no idea if they respect Lane or not. Just b/c they never talked to them. that's bullshit.

I know that they've said several times they don't respect Lane's gameplay and Brenchel being who they are, wouldn't vote for the type of player Lane is. I also know that in 11 seasons of the current show, no one has ever netted a vote from a jury member they spent almost ZERO time with.

Look, technically we're both speculating here, but I can back my speculations with examples from the show, examples from the feeds, and examples from past seasons. And I've done so with success even; for example, I felt particularly vindicated when I predicted that the houseguests would likely view voting for Brendan as voting for Rachel -- who they despised -- and in the past two weeks, the Brigade have had a few conversations privately among themselves, confirming exactly that. And that wasn't a coincidence or a lucky guess on my part. That was a logical prediction based on the players' interactions in the game (specifically how much they hated Rachel) and based on the fact that it has happened before (Ryan losing votes in BB9 because everyone hated Jen).

Anyway, I'll let you have your usual erratic and unsubstantiated retort (or "substantiated" with a misremembering of history) and then I should take my own advice from last week and move on to other conversations.

Does anyone else here want to talk about the endgame? Anyone else PLEASE?

I may be out here but I would have suspected Lane, Hayden and Enzo in an alliance from early on because they were all good ole boys hanging together. Anyone who has been around good ole boys know they hang and stick up for each other. Even Brenchel said it was too early for alliances.
.

Seriously. I mean they hid their alliance but they weren't THAT invisible. Lane and Enzo were joined at the hip early on, and it was pretty clear none of them were targeting each other. I dunno. The cast was so disappointing this year.

Well, no, they weren't mean to her. I just felt sorry for her being all alone in the situation. There was nothing she could do. It was over.

Yeah. To be fair though, Britney was pretty mature about it. She said right away that she wasn't mad at them and even conceded that it was a game and they had played well, she just felt sad because she was outplayed and she knew she was going home. But she didn't pick a fight with them, went straight to bed, and the next day she was totally classy about it and back to joshing around with them, fully accepting her fate.

That's way more mature than anything Brenchel or Ragan ever did when things didn't go their way, not that her detractors would ever give her credit for it.

It was just confirmed that the feeds WILL be blocked starting Tuesday afternoon and they won't come back until Wednesday night after the show has aired.

Why do they even bother having feeds then? They charge us for this service, and every season they get worse and worse. This season they often blocked us from Live HOH comps (which we used to always get).

They may as well just do away with the feeds entirely and just edit together a better show like they do on Survivor.

Ugh. Double post. I tried to edit my first post and couldn't.

Mods, please delete #1855.

Aijalon, please blow your gasket at #1856 and ignore #1855.

Please, I would never blow any kind of gasket over the bile you spew. I could bare to read all of it. Just random half quotes you've cherry picked fromm random posts. You completely manipulate facts and contradict yourself to suit Princess Britney. I wonder what you'll do when she carries her cross-eyed ass out that door. Prolly just complain how it would be so super exciting if Britney was there. And how many votes she would have had.

For the last time can we please stop pretending Britney won an endurance POV? That was NOT endurance and in the context of Big Brother you know it's not.

If you had read my post, you'd notice I put "endurance" in quotes because there is some contention about whether it qualifies as an endurance comp or not. Furthermore that wasn't my point. My point was thus: you said in a previous post (and I'm happy to find the quote if you'd like, but I'm sure you don't want me to since you don't like conceding any points like an adult) that Britney only won that competition because no one else wanted to win it. This is objectively not true since Monet, Rachel, Brendan and Enzo all tried to win that competition (they all said so in the DR) and in fact Enzo came within a hair of winning it, and Rachel hung in there way past the time just to eliminate Monet. If 5 out of 6 players are trying to win it, it is objectively false (like so many of your claims) to say that nobody else was trying to win it. And anyone can go back and watch the episode to see for themselves.

You're way more obsessed with Britney than I am, since you misinterpret all my posts as favoring her, even
1) Posts that have nothing to do with her or
2) Posts where I criticize her or
3) Posts where I said the Brigade should have voted her out!

And I don't really care dude. You're way more personally invested in these people than I am. I didn't spend countless posts on embarrassing diatribes (often with bad grammar, spelling and punctuation) like "BRITNEY IS THE DUMBEST HOUSEGUEST EVER!" and "OMG! Ragan is SUCH A DISGRACE to gays! Why was someone like this even born??" (Hmm, now I see why you like Rachel, your diction certainly resembles hers).

I'm way more interested in analyzing the game moves of the players. Sure I have my own favorites (we all do), but I've been very upfront about the fact that Britney (for example) hasn't played exceptionally well. And I haven't made a single observation, analysis or prediction in this thread without backing it up with examples from the show, examples from the live feeds, or examples from past seasons (or some combination thereof).

So no, the fact that she'll be leaving one week before the finals -- and having outlasted douchebags like Matt, Ragan, Rachel and Brendan -- doesn't bother me at all. She lasted longer than I thought she would after she backdoored Matt. Good for her.

Oh and you glossed over it, but I'd really like to know how Brendan didn't mean it when he said he respected Britney's game, liked her more, and wanted to take her to the end (you accused me of Britneyverse, whatever nonsense means) when in fact, he had that conversation PRIVATELY WITH HIMSELF AND NO ONE ELSE.

Really, I'd like to know. I'm dying to hear this one.

You may want to tone it down a few notches, babe. You're shouting into the wind... and for no discernible reason.

I'm not obsessed with anyone. You post like 10 times more than I do and babble more than anyone in this thread. You are delusional and a hypocrite. I'm so obsessed but you have 4 posts replying to my 1. Please get bac kto reality. And who gives a shit about grammar and spelling? This isnt a term paper. It's commentary on a gay message board about a reality show. Get over it.

And just to give you an idea of how uninteresting and dull these Brigadiers are Brendon and Rachel's Jokers rank were wretched the entire time they were there but in the past few weeks Brendon has been consistently ranked the most popular houseguest followed by Brit and then Rachel. There is some switching based on day, mostly between Brendon and Brit, but overall the people how are actually in the house are consistently ranking below people who are not.

God, I hope this doesn't mean Brendan will win that favourite juror vote for the $25,000 prize. Kill me.

Kensei, I wouldn't be shocked at all if Brendan won the 25 grand. Half will go to taxes, and the other half will go to Rachel. Kill me too.

God, this season really has been the worst, and the state of this thread sort of reflects that.

I'd still like to know how Brendan DIDN'T mean what he said about Britney when he was talking only to himself, but of course, the lack of an answer is in itself an answer.

Falconfan, when you're right, you're right.

This season wasnt bad. It wasnt the most action packed but all the shows have been pretty entertaining. But unlike other seasons, there wasnt much on the feeds. They picked pretty boring housemates.

Plus, despite how much people hate the brigade. They really are the best alliance in BB history. I dont think there's ever been a strong alliance since day 1 where nearly all the members made it to the final 3. I think the fact that their alliance worked so well, it meant for less drama w/in. What is there to fight about? Everything worked out perfectly for them.

I wouldn't say they are the best alliance in BB history, the luckiest yes, but not the best. They only got this far because the other house guests were probably the dumbest players to ever play this game.
