"Big Brother 12"
Live Feed Updates and Show Discussion

For those unfamiliar with the premise of the show, it goes like this:

A group of diverse strangers move into a house outfitted with hundreds of cameras/microphones and they are completely cut off from the outside world. No televisions, no telephones, no internet, no books, no newspapers or magazines. Complete isolation. For three months, they will live in the Big Brother house, being watched by thousands of people via the live internet feeds. (Live feed updates will be posted here...)

Each week, they participate in a series of competitions to win food, luxuries and power -- the most important power being "Head of Household." The person who wins Head of Household (HoH) is automatically ensured safety for a week, but they must nominate two of their fellow housemates for eviction. Following the nominations, the houseguests vote LIVE to evict one of the two nominees. This happens every week for three months, and the last man standing at the end wins the ultimate cash prize. It's an intense game of drama, deceit, mental manipulation and strategy.

Big Brother 12 premieres in July on CBS.

I realize that the premiere of Big Brother 12 is more than a month and a half away, but since casting has already begun, I figured we could use this thread to post all the pre-show gossip, casting news and twist speculations, etc. Once the show begins and the live feeds start, I'll try to post as many updates and live feed pictures/videos/etc. as possible. No promises though!

I'm sure the moderators will be happy to see this thread started, as it generally becomes a source of constant frustration for them every summer, LoL. Let's all try to play nice this year. :)

Ohhh you guys know how to get me gigiddy. BB is just what I need right in my reality tv/media addiction.

BB is one of my favourite pastimes of the summer especially with this thread.

Sleepless nights thanks to endurance competitions is just around the corner. :)

CBS has started airing promos! :)

The premiere date is July 8th.

I really want to know if they're bringing past houseguests seeing that it's the 10th year anniversay

Woot, starts one day after my birthday! Shaping up to be a good week already.

I can't believe it's been a year. Seems like yesterday the blonde bimbo won.

We need a "And here we go!" gif with The Joker from The Dark Knight.

I just read somewhere (RealityBBQ, I think) that there's a rumor that mega asshole Russell Hantz from Survivor will be on the upcoming season of Big Brother.

I would not only boycott the show but CBS as a whole... which is relatively easy as this is the ONLY thing I watch on CBS.

Noooo!

From TheFutonCritic's Twitter...
Unconfirmed, but sources indicate: BIG BROTHER (due July 8) to air Thursdays, Sundays & Wednesdays at 8/7c (last year was Thu-Sun-Tue)
I hate that schedule. They used it for BB9 and it made the feeds so weird. Because the new HOH was crowned on Wednesday, nominations and the POV competition/ceremony happened by, like, Saturday... and for the next five days we were left watching the houseguests sit on their thumbs just waiting for eviction day. By the time Sunday's episode would air, they would have already played out an entire week's worth of games and already had all their ceremonies, so it pretty much made all the TV episodes (minus Wednesday's) worthless to feed viewers. The Tuesday-Thursday-Sunday schedule allows everything to be spread out much more evenly.

Damn CBS. I bet they're doing this because Survivor will be airing on Wednesday next season and they want their reality fans to get used to tuning in on that day.

That page has less then a thousand people. It's not convincing anyone.

Oh, nevermind. I misread this season's schedule as Tuesday-Wednesday-Sunday like BB9's. Wednesday-Thursday-Sunday might not be so bad. I'm just glad the evictions will still take place on Thursday because moving them to another day is what screwed up the house schedule on BB9.

Either way I still like the episodes spaced out more, LoL.
