The Official "Big Brother 12" Discussion Thread!

LoL, says the guy who called me a homophobe because I didn't root for Adam Lambert on American Idol.

"We all have our opinions and thoughts and shouldn't be belittled."

Funny. I recall saying the same thing to you several times in the past and you completely ignored me.

If you're going to call somebody out, re: "You also don't have those people who made every comment you ever made an issue and copied and pasted your words and then wrote encyclopedias about why they were right and you were wrong," at least name names. Nobody likes to play guessing games.

Ah there's the BB spirit I love and remember ;).

Really though I do think now that there's some uncertainty, some investment in personality things will start picking up steam and becoming interesting. Some people are positioned really interesting spots and I'm quite a fan of team Brit, Ragan, and Matt so I have something to care about and/or root for. I'm still relatively indifferent to Lane, Enzo.... Hayden I feel like I could like. Kathy I'm ok with and Brenden I just plain don't like. I tend to hate the stereotypical notion that men can't be sensetive but Brendan just takes it WAY too far and is an overly emotional melodramatic human being.

Things seem to finally be taking an interesting twist. Rachel had a discussion with Hayden (and Enzo?) basically concluding that she thinks they should try to get Matt out because he's sneaky and a bigger threat than Britt.

Matt apparently told Brit to throw him under the bus and try and get him nominated because 'he thinks he's got the votes to beat Lane' but clearly the real reason Matt wants up is so that he can use the diamond veto. Also it seems that this info made it's way back to Lane (via Brit herself) and now the brigade pretty firmly wants Brendon to do their dirty work and get rid of Matt.

Likely conclusion... Matt on the block. Veto usage

I called it like I saw it. I still see it that way.

Really? Because I was borderline offended by that.

That's something I say when im being sarcastic, doesn't translate on the internet

Should of thrown in an eye roll.

I was pissed off when she said that, just shows how ignorant she is

I called it like I saw it. I still see it that way.
That's fine.

But you're wrong.

I don't take kindly to being called a homophobe when A.) I'm not, and B.) I'm gay myself. I would have absolutely no problem with you if you hadn't called me that. You can never just agree to disagree with me and leave it at that. You always have to take it to a lower level... resorting to name calling and personal attacks. I don't respect that.

"We all have our opinions and thoughts and shouldn't be belittled."

I completely agree with your sentiment here. I just wish you adhered to it a little more often.

Truth be told, you're the reason I decided not to post here this BB season. After three summers of dealing with your subtle attacks and instigating, I didn't want to tangle with you again. I'm glad there hasn't been a bunch of bickering and arguing, but to suggest that my absence is the reason this thread is more peaceful (and let's face it... that was your insinuation) is absolutely laughable. The very fact that you suggested such a thing when you could've simply left it alone is all the proof anyone needs that you're the instigator -- not me.

Slipintothefog, I disagree with letting Rachel back into the House this way, even for drama. She has already influenced the course of the game -- helping Brenda's game and potentially getting Britney evicted this week -- with her one on ones with houseguests and however one may feel about Brendan or Britney, it's objectively unfair to let a jury member re-enter the House (especially after seeing goodbye videos etc) and influence the game. Rachel has nothing to lose in the game anymore so she can spill secrets and do things she wouldn't normally do and it's blatantly unfair.

If they're going to do this then they may as well give up any pretense of a game of social strategy. Just have America vote entirely for the winner, the HOH talk to family and friends back home, let Big Brother randomly spill house secrets etc. The producers have done a lot to ruin the purity of the game in recent years -- America's Player, America's Coup, letting America cast a jury vote last year etc -- and this is just going too far. We can't even call this a real game anymore.

I agree with you but I'm not sure they intended to "bring back Rachel" but it was just whoever was first in the jury house this week because that was the planned pandora's box twist.

On the other hand, if it had been Monet in the jury house this week, absolutely nothing would've happened in the house with her coming back for 24hrs and they may have cancelled/altered those plans.

I discovered something I hadn't thought of in regards to the live feeds.

From the feed chatrooms, I've found out that most of the blocking periods of the feeds, when something behind the scenes is going on, is for monetary issues. They would have to pay every production person and cameraman who appeared on screen and have them sign a release.

Money is also the reason the announcer reminds them not to sing. They'd have to pay royalties.

Same reasons for not showing the comps on the feeds but that also has to do with getting us to watch the televised show. I've noticed on sho ad that if someone starts talking about production they switch to another room rather quickly. On the feeds the announcer tells them to stop or they cut the feeds.

Hayden I feel like I could like.

If you saw Hayden sitting shirtless in the back yard, his skin glistening in the sun, his muscles defined and emanating masculinity, and his pecs protruding...you'd definitely like him.

Good boy Matt! He's doing EXACTLY what he should be doing, positioning himself between the Brigade and the Brit/Ragan alliance. Also, Matt would be eliminated at F4 if he stuck with the Brigade entirely so this is his best move.

I hope it works so Brit can be safe. :D

Please don't let anyone or anything keep you away from this thread. You always make things more fun and many of us enjoy your company enormously!

I could not agree with this more!!

No offence to everyone else, but this thread is definitely way more dull than the last couple years. And most of that has to do with the lack of updates and stuff from Salemite :( (Another part has to do with the cast being dull this year, and the lack of drama - other than yesterday's epic fight!)

Anyways, just want to say that even though I read most of the feeds, I miss the updates on here from you, Salemite! Especially with the screen caps and everything.

Now I see why there were problems in these threads.....

Anyway, I hope Matt wins now only because I would LOVE to see the faces of Hayden and Enzo.

It would be so epic.

If not Matt then Brit, if not Brit than Ragen. If Enzo wins im going to have a seizure.

This news of Matt (And honestly I dont understand these conversations they are having anymore because I never know if they are trying to trick someone or if what they are saying is legit) leaving the Brigade almost made me cry tears of joy.

So wait, is Matt slowly detaching himself from The Brigade or is The Brigade slowly kicking out Matt?

You know I apologized back then for getting so heated but you and your minions would not leave me alone. You would not accept my apology so I don't accept you. I didn't bring this up again, you did. So be it. It was only last season and none other. If you don't want to read what I wrote then put me on ignore like all of you did last season. I lived. Why don't you? And actually it was not you I meant at all. Someone here knows who I meant and I don't want to bring up names again. I was actually very pleased with your postings last year and once I was put on ignore by everyone, I still read and enjoyed them. I forgave all the horrible things that were said to me. I even told you last season how pleased and appreciative I was of your generous information. There was never a reason to let everyone here down when an ignore option helped you avoid me last season.

So please Salemite, don't make others suffer because you hate me. Ignore me and give them the enjoyment they deserve, and their appreciation of you for doing it. I am truly sorry that I was the cause of you taking this enjoyment away from them. It never occurred to me that you wouldn't just put me on ignore.

And actually it was not you I meant at all. Someone here knows who I meant and I don't want to bring up names again.

Why the ambiguity then?

What's the point in calling someone out if you don't want to name names? Why make everyone play the guessing game? In fact, why stir the pot to begin with? Wouldn't it be best just to leave well enough alone and let sleeping dogs lie while everyone is getting along and posting pleasantly?

An apology is only good if you correct your behavior.

When I was a kid, my father used to abuse me and he would often apologize afterwards for getting so violent. I believed him the first five or ten times he hit me, but after that, I came to realize his apologies were hollow.

There's a lockdown happening, everyone was sent to the backyard. Sigh, I can't take any more twists this season. Just split the money four ways among the Brigade and let's call it a day. Sheesh. Every twist thus far has only managed to benefit them anyway.

I think the lockdown is over. BB fixed a broken door inside the house.

Enzo and Hayden are talking in the bathroom.

Enzo is suspicious that Matt isn't acting more worried about possibly going on the block. Hayden says he's noticed the same thing. "Why doesn't he act worried at all?"

ENZO: "I told Matt that we should go upstairs and talk to Brendon and he was like... nah. What's going on with him? Why isn't he nervous? Do you think he has some kind of secret deal with Brendon and he's gonna put one of us up?"

HAYDEN: "I dunno."

Lane enters the room and they ask what he thinks about Matt not acting more worried about going on the block.

Lane says Britney told him that Matt thinks he has her vote and that's probably why he isn't acting more worried.

HAYDEN: "Ohhh, that's why. He thinks even if he goes on the block, he'll have all the votes to stay. He thinks he'll have me, Enzo, Kathy, Ragan... that's all the votes he needs."

ENZO: "I dunno. It doesn't make sense that he doesn't seem worried at ALL. Do you think he ratted on us to Brendon?"

HAYDEN: "I dunno."

Paranoia running rampant...

LANE: "You would think Matt would be more worried about going on the block -- especially against another brigade member."

ENZO: "He doesn't give a fuck. He's just done with us."

(Enzo, Lane and Hayden are convinced that Matt has ditched them for a new alliance with Britney and Ragan because they actually win competitions...)

ENZO: "Yo, we've gotta make a power move if we win HOH. We've gotta get him out. Our cards are gonna be shown but we've gotta do something. We've gotta split up Matt, Ragan and Britney. That's all there is to it."

Lots of whispering. I can't hear much of what's being said.

Matt enters the room and the topic immediately changes to the pool tournament outside.
