I thinks he's fun, but she's completely transparent. She's a completely manufactured piece from the music industry. She sings superficially about things that will catch attention but never dip below the surface of their purported subject matter. Her content is largely based on a queer/sexist edge "You're so gay becaue of [enter stereotype here]," "I'm sort of a kinky (but actually tediously vanilla) because *gasp I kissed a girl," and "Look how different I am because I'm 'One of the Boys' and I talk about boys PMS-ing like bitchy annoying girls."

So far she's only proven herself to be a one-trick pony. When she can come up with content that clearly means something to her and doesn't have to ride on sexism and heterosexism I'll appreciate her as an artist.

For now, at least she can make me dance while she tries too hard to look the part she's supposed to play.

Katy Perry Random-ness

So, I have tickets to the Katy Perry show in Houston on Tuesday, and I emailed her manager about a photo pass and this is what I have to do to get it.

If you were a student at Ole Miss, I'd say yes.

However, I'll give you a photo pass if you do three things:
1. Call my office after learning the "Hotty Toddy" cheer & chant it for me.
2. Wear an Ole Miss T-shirt to the show & while taking photos.
3. Take a picture with Katy Perry, while wearing your Ole Miss T-shirt, then send to me, along with your performance photos.
