My frat does a lip sync every semester, not like this though. Ours is always for Homecoming or Greek Week and is on a stage for competition.

Katy Perry's ET Video

Anyone else seen this yet? Came out today...I keep seeing instant Lady Gaga ripoff comments. But I like the video more (not the song though). Katy Perry is one hot alien. Definitely one-ups Lady Gaga in the kick-ass makeup department.

I guess maybe I could see some slight Born This Way influence, but not enough to say it's a ripoff. Visually I really like this video. Great makeup, great effects, awesome colors, but to be honest not a whole lot happens. I think they could have done more. I also wish Kanye had been more integrated, instead of feeling tacked on. Overall though, really cool video.

Katy Perry Ft. Kanye West "E.T." Music Video (Premiere)

The video premiered today, thoughts?

All I kept thinking was Lady Gaga on a budget. Loved the story line when she was on the planet reviving the astronaut, everything else before that was so redundant and cheesy graphics-wise I couldn't really enjoy it. The song however, definitely one of my top favorites this year.

The visuals were stunning. I don't really like the song that much but the video visually is amazing. Kanye gets on my ever living nerves so he could just go away haha.

The visuals were amazing yes loved them, but the beginning could've been tweaked more. The spinning fall was too long. It's not a bad video but because I loved the song and alien theme a lot I expected more.

And Kanye spinning in that satellite ball or whatever was irritating.

and though I don't really think Kanye adds to much to the song...his verses are better than Tinie Tempah's verse on the remix that came out before this Kanye version

I see a slight resemblance, but it's certainly not a copycat of Born This Way. The concept of the video fits the song more than Lady Gaga's; however, Lady Gaga has more (not necessarily better) to entertain and captivate visually. The only similarity is that they both have extreme usage of makeup and outfits, but the styles are different.

I'am not a big Katy Perry fan, but I do like the song and video.
