Re: NBC to air Madonna Crucifixion Scene

I don't think she's about hatred, either. But something like this is a little much, regardless of what you're trying to express. She could have done it in a more non-offensive way. I mean, it doesn't offend me personally, cause I don't really care about religion and such, but something tells me she eyed the controversy of it all. I mean, crucifying herself has NOTHING to do with Aids in Africa. Thats the biggest B.S. excuse to do something lame that I've ever heard - but I guess if doing dumb things for attention is her way of staying on top then I guess...do it? lol...I just wish she'd make better music lol. I'd deal with her crap then. But until then...

Re: NBC to air Madonna Crucifixion Scene

In an article in today's paper they said NBC will not show the scene, and since Madonna is one of the executive producers, she must have agreed to that.

Re: NBC to air Madonna Crucifixion Scene

Looks like MCsNo1Fn uses his own photo as an avatar and I've seen his other photos in his gallery. I don't think he's so ugly. I don't even think he's ugly at all. I think MCsNo1Fn is handsome, but he's not my type.

Awww! Thats the nicest thing Ive heard in awhile. THANK YOU!!

I just can't see Madonna giving in to anyone. Then again if she wants it to air, I guess she doesn't have a choice. Why not just release a DVD and get on with it without the T.V. Special?

Re: Madonna on Oprah (25.10.) ---> The Baby Tour

The thing that the public notices most about Madonna is that she's true to herself. The way she acts and the way she talks and looks is the same as the way she was since the beginning of her music career. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Madonna is true to herself. Madonna isn't a con artist who pretends to be someone she's not to make the record buying public adore her therefore taking advantage of the record buying public that way and then once she's wealthy and famous enough she stops acting and shows her true self... well Madonna isn't like that. Madonna's not phony or in other words, a con artist. She's true to herself.

Re: Madonna on Oprah (25.10.) ---> The Baby Tour

She's true to herself but needs to appear on three shows because she adopted a baby. Interesting. That's like when Britney Spears set up an interview with Matt Lauer to complain about how the media won't leave her alone. *smack* HELLOOO

Re: Madonna on Oprah (25.10.) ---> The Baby Tour

At the moment, she has absolutely nothing to promote. She's not doing this for publicity, if she was, she would have done this at the start of her tour, or before her CD launched.

Secondly, she's doing this to speak out against the stuff that's being said about the adoption and to hopefully shed more light on the conditions in which those people live in. God forbid she try to do some good. The dirty whore.

Re: Madonna on Oprah (25.10.) ---> The Baby Tour

Rich People talking about adopting a a poor little black baby

what a bunch of creeps

If Oprah was still Black she would be ashamed

but how amazing is the billions that turned her into "THE MAN"

Re: Madonna on Oprah (25.10.) ---> The Baby Tour

Well, people should be given KUDOS for adoption, I'll never take that away from ANYONE, even Madonna, but it just seems like an ODD time, seeing as how all this press around this crucifixion crap has gone around. The timing just seems fishy. I mean, if she really is doing it out of the goodness of her heart, then more power to her, that's great. If not, it will only add to the list of reasons why I cannot stand her.

The timing just seems fishy. Why she feels the need to clear up THIS incident specifically is REALLY fishy. I mean, if she really is doing it out of the goodness of her heart, then more power to her, that's great. If not, it will only add to the list of reasons why I cannot stand her. I will DEFINITELY be watching the Oprah special, because I am very good at detecting heartfelt as opposed to fake media whore stuff. I did it with Britney, Mariah, Whitney, Christina and I can just always tell when someone is genuine, and I think there was only one time when I thought Madonna was genuine and that was on some VH1 special and how she was with the people she worked with (backup dancers). It showed she cares about those who work with her (the gift giving) and that she truly was interested in their lives. But I also got the impression that obviously it has to be like that or there would be a bitch fest.

Whew, boy...!

Anyway...

I wonder if Oprah's ever going to take Gayle up on her challenge and ask Madonna about "Oprah? Yuck!"

Re: Madonna on Oprah (25.10.) ---> The Baby Tour

What challenge?
2 or 3 years ago, after Madonna went on Oprah to plug her children's books, Gayle came on for a show with Oprah so Oprah could see what she and Gayle actually talk about in regards to the show every night. One of the things they talked about was Madonna. Gayle said that Madonna did seem to be a little less strident with age, but thinks Oprah should've asked her about what happened in the Truth or Dare movie. Apparently, Madonna, in the movie, is told that they're tour's hitting Chicago and that's where Oprah lives, and Madonna says, "Oprah? Yuck!" Oprah said that she didn't want to seem like some little insecure school girl asking, "When you said 'Oprah Yuck', what did you mean?" But Gayle really thought she should if she was going to be promoting her books on the show.

So that's why I said maybe Oprah will take Gayle up on her challenge this time and find out what Madonna meant by Oprah Yuck.

Best Madonna Album?

which is the best all-time madonna album? very hard question, as she has so many good ones.

I'd hav to say best album Erotica has so many good songs: Erotica, Deeper and Deeper, Bad Girl (Her best ballad), and Fever. Music would probably come in second, although my absolute fave madonna song is Drowned World/Substitute for Love from Ray of Light.

Re: Best Madonna Album?

I ADORE "Bedtime Stories." But I also am in love with "Evita" and "Ray Of Light." "Music" was half good, I think and "American Life" was about the same. (I like her earlier stuff as well, but not full albums, just specific songs). And I don't really like her "Confessions" album, so I guess I'd say...

BEDTIME STORIES

Re: Best Madonna Album?

"Erotica" for sure. It marked a turning point in Madonna's career where she veered away from mainstream-accessible pop and into darker, more adult, more experimental stuff. You can also tell that she's exorcising a lot of the hurt and anger from her failed marriage to Sean Penn and break-up with Warren Beatty in the songs -- a lot of great, bitter break-up songs on that album that I personally took solace in when going through my break-up with my first husband around that time.

Even though "Erotica" is now widely regarded as one of Madonna's most critically-acclaimed and underrated albums, it unfortunately got swept under the rug during all the hoopla over her "Sex" book and movie "Body of Evidence" at that time.

"Bedtime Stories" and "Ray Of Light" I would have to say run neck-and-neck as my second favorite Madonna album of all time. "Bedtime Stories" was another underrated and underappreciated album of hers.
