Meh.

I'll wait before I trash it this time.

but I hate songs that start out with talking like "let's do something to really make people think" and then just list off a string of cliche lines like "Always a bridesmaid never a bride" or "the beat goes on" or "Here comes the sun."

The rhythm track sounds exactly like that Justin timberlake song where he's trying to sound like Michael Jackson.

And the tune is catchy but in that "though you hate this song, you'll be humming it for weeks" kind of way.

We'll see... I didn't like confessions much at first either.

I think the same, love Madonnas stuff normally, don't like this though it sounds like something that didn't make it to 'Loose'.

She will probably get around 100 million because the company she is in talks with would also cover her touring which alone is worth 100 million.

As far as her age goes, Madonna will probably be like a Tina Turner she will continue to record and tour will into her sixties then she'll announce her final tour and it will break records all over the world because everyone will want to see her preform one last time.

I sold mine on ebay for a couple hundred bucks last year. It was in perfect condition. The book was a crazy read in '92 when it came out but now it's stupid. I do still like Madonna but heard her new song today(the beat goes on) and hated it! I'm soooooooo disappointed!

I dont think this is her first venture into R&B influenced music, Bedtime stories was a very R&B-Ish album, Tracks Like "Human Nature", and "Take a Bow", had a very R&B sound to it!, I love Madonna for whatever she does!!!

yeah, and also she venture hip hop with erotica. with all the tracks of andre betts, that got that hip hop flavor like "waiting" (which i LOVE).

I still have it, in perfect condition i might add, it still has the original wrapper with it, i opened it of course, very artsy book, i always liked reading it for the artistic expression, i know thousands of straight guys bout it to j/O to, my straight friend bought it when it came out, before i bought mine, so a month later i asked him if i could see it so i know what im about to buy, and the pages were all stuck together LMAO!!!! Had a good laugh about that one!!

Come on. Greatest Hits, Best Of, #1's, Essential Collection. Granted, this one has the twist of only being slower songs, but whatever the title and/or gimmick, it's a collection of songs from previous albums that the casual listener will know and want to buy without buying the artists entire catalogue. And I, being one of those casual listeners, know ten of the 14 songs just from the titles, so maybe her own personal favorites are the ones that made her the most money.

I don't know, I thought by some of the comments that it might be catchy, but it's absolutely horrid. I can't stand songs without any kind of melody, and the lyrics are just godawful. I hate this song probably more than anything she's ever done before. It's just awful.

And I've been a huge fan since 1983. Even have la m on the front page of my myspace. I'll have to check this one out.

OK, I am now obsessed with this song, LOL, at first it wasnt the greatest song ive heard, but it grew on me, very fast, i actually hope its on her new album, i cant get that "on and on and on the beat goes, on and on and on the beat goes" part outta my head

I just hope it doesn't have a huge "out-of-the-box" peak similar to 1992's "Erotica" or even "Hung Up" from a couple of years ago. Granted, both of them were top 10 singles, I'd prefer a lengthy chart stay similar to "Borderline" and "Take A Bow," Madonna's longest-running Hot 100 hits (with 30-weeks a piece).
