I have the book.... I can't really open it up too often because the spirals down the side are a little broken and it would be very easy for me to accidently rip a page.

I thought it was brilliant but I was like 16 when I got it.

Madonna up for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Madonna, the Beastie Boys, John Mellencamp and Leonard Cohen lead a wildly disparate class of nominees for 2008 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

They join Afrika Bambaataa, Chic, the Ventures, Donna Summer and the Dave Clark Five on the ballot. Five acts will be inducted March 10, 2008, at New York's Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

For eligibility, artists had to release their first single no later than 1982. Last year's inductees were R.E.M., Van Halen, Patti Smith, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five and the Ronettes.

The Term "Rock & Roll" Is A Universal Term used For all types of music.
Every different type of music, in some way has been influenced by original rock and roll (Elvis, Chuck Berry), And In Turn Took Thier own ideas and put it into the music, therefore creating a new type of music.

I don't buy that at all. Rock and Roll is a genre of music, just like country, just like rap, just like electronica. If they want to incorporate all types of popular music, there is a term for that...it's called "pop". I have nothing against any of these artists in their own fields (okay..maybe Chic), but to induct them into a "Rock and Roll" Hall of Fame over artists who are actually "Rock and Roll" artists is an insult.

Yeah, Whatever, The R&R Hall Of Fame Doesnt Even Matter, Its not picked by the fans, the inductees are picked by like a couple hunred people, so it doesnt matter
who gets inducted, for what reason, or for wht genre of music they represent.
