It Doesnt Matter To Me, Good music Is good Music, Weather it be Pop, Rock N roll, R&B, Rap, Punk, or Gospel, I dont need a Hall of Fame to tell me what good music is, or how it has impacted the rest of the music industry, Ive been The Biggest Madonna fan forever, i could care less if she gets inducted, because ill always have her music to listen to, And Thats All i Have to say About That

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is mainly an honor only for the inductee. It is a career-affirming award given by a voting organization of music experts. I would rather see educated people who use critical thinking than "fans" give awards. That's what blog voting and The American Music Awards are for. The masses are asses when it comes to musical taste.

If we used fan voting, we'd have a hall full of MC Hammer, Britney Spears, O Town, Lil Kim and a hundred other gimmick acts.;)

As long as Rihanna isn't up for the 2009 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame I am one happy cowboy.

I find it sad and pathetic that it's pop and hip-hop artists getting into the Rock and Roll hall of fame, instead of some actual talented artists. Green Day, Sum 41, Finger Eleven, Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, and many others had better get in when thier time comes, or I'm going on a freakin rampage!

as much as i dont like her or her music. she deserves it. someone with that big of a following and that much staying power deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Means she is doing something right.

Well, I'll give her that she deserves that. But I'm thinking a Generalized music hall of fame, for every genre, with artists getting in on how they changed music, the world around them, their fans, and how good their music was and how it was recieved.

Why do you think artists like Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, The Supremes, Bob Marley, Brenda Lee, The Bee Gees and even Clive Davis have all been inducted??

Are any of them 'rock & rollers'? No.

So, it's perfectly suitable that Madonna is inducted. I'm not a Madonna-worshiper either, but she's been popular for 25 years (you have to be around for 25 years to even be considered), and she has been an undeniable force in the music industry. So congrats to her. This is very well deserved, :)
