Deleted Tracks To Madonna's AMERICAN LIFE

Do they exist and are they out there? This is her best album in my book and i'd love to hear more of this sound! "Shine Your Light Now... This Time It's GOT To Be GOOOOOD!"

I'm afraid there are not any more songs from the "American Life" recording sessions but the ones featured on the album. No bonus tracks were added to the international versions, and no new songs appeared on the four singles taken from "American Life".

I'm not sure if you know there's a sort of album sequel to "American Life" called "Madonna: Remixed & Revisited" that features remixes of "American Life", "Nothing fails", "Nobody knows me", "Love profusion" and "Hollywood", that also contains a couple of never before released tracks like "Your honesty" and the incendiary live MTV performance of "Like a virgin" with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

Re: Deleted Tracks To Madonna's AMERICAN LIFE

its the political message.. bashing the republican party and conservative lifestyle/greedy american culture. Truly artistic!

Its the most successful album on the billboard dance chart seeing as how the 5 main stream singles plus the 2 promo singles (7 singles together) all hit top ten on the dance chart for billboard.

Is what the she banging on about? good for her... wait how much did she charge for reinvention tour tickets seems she should pick a issue she is not so highlya part of.

Say what you will about her ticket prices but she puts on a show like no other. Seriously i went to Re-invention and it was worth every penny. Best concert i have ever been to.

Re: Deleted Tracks To Madonna's AMERICAN LIFE

Im not bitching about the prices (or her I am a big fan *looks at user name*) I was simply stating that if she was attcking "America's Greed" with the album maybe the tour supporting it should have cost less. I would not have said anything if someone had not called the message "Truly artistic".

It didn't flop because it was bad. It flopped because of her political views and people decided to boycott her and stuff.

Re: Deleted Tracks To Madonna's AMERICAN LIFE

I never said it flopped because it was bad I never even said it was bad I just said I never got the fuss about is. Many people call it there favorite Madonna album or list it high but I consider it to be one for her weakest as a whole. To say people boycotted it due to her political views is silly Madonna has rocked the boat endlessly and survived cause of the strong martial behind her. One of the most successful albums around that time was American Idiot.

But it did do badly, specifically in America. Most of the singles failed to even chart and the contorversy because of the first single caused people to disagree with her and led to bad sales.

In my opinion, it only had two good songs, Love Profusion and Hollywood.

Re: Political Meaning To Madonna's AMERICAN LIFE

I love that music video it has alot of shock value to it and is one of the most importent things she's ever done. she came out and did something unpopular and i think that is bitchin.

Re: Political Meaning To Madonna's AMERICAN LIFE

Madonna is proof that microcircuitry and management trumps talent these days.

Nothing she has to say/sing has any meaning for me.

It takes "talent" to write a song, it takes "talent" to dance it takes "talent" to put on a show the way she does and It takes "talent" to manage to stay just as popular as you were 25 years ago. She may not be what you like but to say she has no talent is foolish she has an amzing talent for pop music.

I agree. Not a huge fan myself, but she certainly knows who to hire, what to do and how to package a pop song. No, she's not the greatest singer or dancer on earth, but that's not the point. If you like great singers or amazing dancers, you wouldn't go shopping for pop songs. She does what she does brilliantly, and she obviously knows her own strengths.

But, back to topic.

I like the clip. It's a nice idea to juxtapose the vacuous material commercialist mindset with the reality of the war and suffering that the US (and others) have also given the world.

But I don't think its high art. The clip spends as much time on graffiti-writing in the bathroom as it does on anti-war sentiment. Its topical, and probably manufactured to seem controversial, but it's not gonna change the world.

And I'm not sure that a multi-millionairess pop-singer with a castle in England and money to burn will ever be able to sell the evils of vacuous commercialism and consumerism with any credibility.

Re: Political Meaning To Madonna's AMERICAN LIFE

I have always looked up to Madonna for rocking the boat and having the balls to put her self out there artistically. She has taken it in the neck constantly for her actions and America Life was another example of how she will put herself out. But this albums never sat right with me and she never even released the video she pulled it so I kind of feel its importance is void as a majority of people have never seen it just seen the lame ass flag video. As I said in the other thread Madonna is the last person who should be commenting on America’s greed considering how much she makes from her fans.
