you know I never thought of it that way. Because parents who REALLY want a child go out of their way to adopt and love them from the beginning!

It's supposed to be a quote from Mommy Dearest (1981). The general gist of the movie is that Joan Crawford should have never been allowed to adopt any children.

^ Agreed. If you adopted Madonna you'd have to be the grandparent of her children. How many does she have? And I do not agree with her going over to Africa and taking other people's children.

Other peoples children? Well those other people clearly do not want them!

So you want them to waste away in an orphanage, missing out on a family unit with special love? Then growing up in uneducated poverty with an expected life span of just 47 years old.

Yeah thats so much better for them than being adopted by one of the richest & most famous women on the planet.

Well I would say that being thrust from that life of poverty into the eye of the media because some strange woman who you don't even know adopted you was not really any better, would you?

And this new girl she's after. Her parents are dead, but her extended family want her. Madonna promised those people that she would look after the girl until she was a Doctor or Lawyer and then bring her back. (according to the girls extended family) she also promised the father of the other child that she would keep in touch and arrange regular visits. She hasn't.

You're deluded, clearly, Madonna is shopping for babies in Africa.

The law in Africa is that the person wanting to adopt the child needs to have lived there for at least a year beforehand. Madonna has evaded this, twice now.

Im not sure you've got all your facts straight there. I very much doubt that Madonna would say anything about the child becoming a doctor or lawyer! I think you are believing to much of what you read. Madonna is not Cruella de ville. Her children seem happy & balanced from what I see. Just having siblings & a family unit will be good for that adopted child. Then there is all the opportunities & choices in life she will have. Good education, good nourishment, good healthcare....things she certainly will not get where she is now.

Im not remotely deluded. You seem to be allowing your bias against Madonna blind you to the obvious. There are millions of babies & children in Africa who desperately need a lifeline & some hope. Many will die very young, probably in great pain & suffering.

You are way beyond deluded if you can't see the sense in giving at least one child this amazing chance.

How do you know what Madonna is like? You don't know her any better than I do. I don't have anything against Madonna personally, so there is no bias from me. I just think that having her shopping for children in Africa is unnecessary publicity. She barely knows this child - why does it have to be this child?

Some amazing chance when the adopted mother won't be around long enough to actually mother the child. There'll be a nanny.

Basically Angelina and Brad can adopt however many babies from whatever countries they want because they project the happy-family image. Madonna's image is less "all american family" and therefore is a bad "influence"

that's true. People just dont like alot of her statements politically and her offensive videos. She's marketing herself, and its SMART. So what she's a shrewd business woman. She's made more success then today's average diva.

first, i would be happy to adopt the public madonnas bank account, but not her...i refuse to adopt anyone that is a bigger dick and has bigger (way bigger) balls than i do. :rolleyes:

second, for our little madonna, no also. you are to old. but, i will still be your friend and have (*8*)(*8*)(*8*) + :-):-):-) for you when you need/want them
