But I will say and this is just me, but Madonna and Britney are like peanut butter and jelly, I love love love love the mixture and "mother/daughter" like vibe I feel when I see them together. :D <3

I know, right? I just LOVED when I saw Madonna in Britney's "For The Record" documentary! It was so surprising and out of nowhere!! LOL :D I really liked what Madonna had to say.

I also loved when they did "Me Against The Music" together:

And, of course, who could forget "THE KISS" at the 2003 MTV VMAS?

Anybody have some really wicked dance remixes of her old stuff that they can post?

Not to keep an old thing going, but my sister sent me this link and it's pretty well done. So I thought I'd share with the class.

MrMojoRisin has some great choices! In addition to his, there are hundreds of fan-made/white-label remixes hitting Youtube - for virtually any Madonna song (even the non-hit album cuts), somebody's taken a creative remix approach to it and lots of them are really good. Here's a few:

And there are some great "Express Yourself" official ones:

That one Youtube user, Madonna Remixed ( http://www.youtube.com/user/MadonnaRemixed ) has many!

I've seen some posts in this thread about Madonna working on new stuff, but I don't know where you're all finding that information? Is she back in the studio? Is there a certain genre she is into?

Check out these based on a February tweet:

Madonna Is Ready To Record A New Album

Madonna Album In The Works

This piece is interesting - OMG, William Orbit re-uniting with her could be incredible. (!) "Ray of Light" is gorgeous - I'd love to hear what kind of ideas Orbit could bring more than a decade later:

William Orbit 'unsure over Madonna project'

My only hope for the new album is that she works with some good songwriters. She can do whatever the hell she wants sonically, but I will not be pleased if I get another album of "waiting and hesitating," "get stupid" and "yeaaaah" substituting for lyrics.

LMAO! I know right...

She REALLY needs to work with William Orbit again.

What's Patrick Leonard is up to? She needs to get a hold of him again as well.

I wish the fans could pick and choose what producers and writers she works with on the next release. (!) That would be fun.

I don't want Madonna to work with the same people she's worked with in the past. That's not her style. She can work with someone new and create magic again. She's been doing that for over 25 years! :D

I agree about the "waiting" "hesitating" and the "yeahs". It got old fast.

It was especially frustrating for me to hear some of the songs on Hard Candy which had beyond silly lyrics, and then to hear demos that she recorded but didn't release on Hard Candy. "Latte" (or whatever the hell the real title is supposed to be) is certainly no worse "Spanish Lesson." And the lyrics for "Across the Sky" are probably better than any other song on Hard Candy's save for "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You."

And it's not even like I need her to be deep - I think "Broken (I'm Sorry)" is a fun pop song that isn't completely braindead and full of her recent lyric filler. And yet, it got shelved for "Revolver" on Celebration.

Has anyone read that scathing book about Madonna written by her brother that she had fallen out with? Apparently he talks really negative of her, is it worth the read? I love Madonna but from interviews and the way she comes across in general, she seems like a bit of a bitch. Or maybe she just knows what she wants?

Well, Gaga only has a few albums out so perhaps she will one day release something that will better connect with me. Thus far I just haven't connected with her music.

Her image is a little too cartoony for me as well. But Madonna went through a similar stage in her career, so who knows? Maybe Gaga will get past that as well.

I usually don't get into artists until they have been around for a while and have had the time to build a solid catalogue. One of the things I love about Madonna is her massive music catalogue and multiple images. Truly an everchanging icon.
