Personally, I think her best looking cover is The Emancipation of Mimi, with Rainbow & E=MC2 close behind.

Her worst album is definitely Glitter. I love E=MC2! I really think if you gave it an honest chance, you would like it!

Oh, & the three songs you mentioned from Charmbracelet are sooooo not the best ones. Bringin' on the Heartbreak, My Saving Grace, & Through the Rain are the best songs on that album.

it is a good album by most standards, but not mariah standards! loverboy is good, reflections (care enough) is good, last night a dj saved my life is good, but what else?

I liked 'Glitter'. I thought 'Lead The Way' was the best song. But it wasn't 'Music Box' or 'Butterfly'. That was the problem.

Charmbracelet had some good songs. I liked it. But I think they released the wrong singles. 'Boy' should have never been released (or recorded for that matter). 'You Had Your Chance' was great, as was 'Clown' and 'Bringin on the Heartbreak'. I think she could have had a hit with those 3 and 'You Got Me'.

Yes, I've heard Glitter a couple of times. And yes, it's dreadful. Even "Loveboy". Kudos to YMO for not giving her "Firecracker" - it would've done nothing for the song, and done only harm to YMO.

The songs on Charmbracelet are marginally better - they're intentionally more adult, more AC - but she simply wasn't up to singing them at the time.

i'm telling you! e=mc2 is honestly not bad!

"migrate" is brilliant.
"everywhere we go, they gon' flock. them boys migrate to where it's hot"!

"touch my body" is obviously good.

"i stay in love" is great, even though it's a less-hot version of "we belong together"

"side effects" is good! "i'll be lovin' u long time" too!

"for the record" is brilliant, lyrically!

"i wish you well" is great!

The only decent track is "I Wish You Well"...why? Because whenever Mariah stops hiding behind big production and noises and blah blah blah...she does great! It enhances her interpretation skills...let's her voice and expression shine.

The only other track that is listenable is O.O.C..

The rest of the album is utter shit.

Ironically, pretty much all of the tracks you mentioned are the ones I consider to be some of her worst works ever. We couldn't be in more different pages than we already are. lol

I'm That Chick is, literally, one of the very shittiest things she's ever done! Disgusting song! Cruise Control is also shit.

I like OOC 'cause of it's kinda weird sound...it's not too cliched, as the rest of the album, except I Wish You Well.

She should give up on working with JD. He's so-called creative input is as much valuable as me liking pussy.

Actually, YMO *did* give it to her, however, they also gave it to Jennifer Lopez. She came with it first, therefore Mariah scrapped it as the sample and added Cameo. I've heard the 'Loverboy' with YMO in it, and although I liked it, I still think the Cameo sample was better.

And WHAT other songs from Glitter? Hmmm...
