Mariah can sing like no other. Liked her earlier stuff better. What puts me off about her is how incredibly snooty and egotistical she's gotten. You'd think after her Glitter fiasco she'd be more appreciative and have toned down the arrogance now that the public has reaccepted her but nope, still walks around with an air of entitlement.

i think she's incredible. yeh shes arrogant and a bit of a diva but i kind of love her for it, at least she has some personality unlike leona lewis for example! i'd put christina and whitney in a slightly higher category than her but she's third i reckon. shes the best at singing in the whistle category for certain but her voice has gotten a little fu*ked from singing in flasetto so much

Not only will Mariah Carey appear on American Idol April 9 for the "Idol Gives Back" special, but, according to FMQB Radio Industry News, she will mentor the remaining Idol contestants the following week. Mariah will also appear on Oprah April 14. Mariah's new CD E=mc2 will arrive on Tues April 15

Say what you will about Mariah, but the girl has had a hugely successful career in a field she likes, and her music is spread and loved across the world. That should give her enough of a right to mentor a group of hopeful singers. Now, if this were a competition for actors, that's a whole different story.

mariah has a nice voice, but i dont think she can act. sometimes her videos looks all the same in concept and theme. but i like her, in fairness...i think it would be great that she would share her knowledge with the idol contestants
