In just 12 short hours, Mariah Carey's lead single from her upcoming album, Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel, will debut on radios nationwide. Starting with a premiere on Chicago's B96, "Obsessed," the long-awaited response to rapper Eminem's constant jabs, has been quoted by producer The-Dream as being "like nothing she's ever done, like anyone would expect from her." Enlisting rapper "Gucci Mane" on the re-sang remix, to be released at a later date, Mariah sings about a certain person's constant obsession with her, no matter how much she tries to ignore them, they still can't shut their mouths.

Wasn't her last album released like, last year?

A new album seems a bit too rushed to me, especially with the single name being the name of Beyonce's most recent movie.

Besides that point, she's looking really good on that cover.

I just heard it and I love it! I really do. The lyrics are on fire. The vocals aren't that impressive at all. But it has a great beat and the lyrics are great.

This could be a hit.

I was AWFULLY dissapointed when Mariah decided not to release Side Effects from E=MC2. BEST SONG ALIVE. But this song is really good as well. She looks killer on the cover!

Really? A year is plenty of time to come up with 12 or 14 good songs. If you want rushed, check out the Jonas Brothers, who today put out their third album this year.

back in the 70's and 60's artists can do an album every year or even two albums a year.. and they would be very successful. (Beatles, Cher, Carpenters, Journey, Blondie, etc.)

They would pop out albums once a year or twice a year, and they would all be big smash hits.

This song is whack. It sucks. I find it pretty annoying with the use of auto-tune on top of her kinda-weird nasally-sounding "whiny" voice.

This song was way over-hyped and didn't even live up to the hype. I was expecting something amazing. Blah.

This song does not have #1 written on it imo. And she's not even really singing on the track. Just doing her usual fast-talk-singing thing, which I find somewhat annoying...
