Mariah SANG on the view yesterday. I was impressed with her vocals. But GMA was a fucking mess all over the place. Has anyone ever sounded good on there.

When Mariah came out in the 90's i loved her, she was singing and was pretty too. Then she decided to change everything and act like a tramp (i'm sorry but what selfrespecting almost 40 years old woman would dress like that) and change her music and started whispering instead singing. I think that's a shame cause her first three or four albums are still great to this day. But ever since Butterfly she hasn't released a decent album.

Who was it that said her voice is gone? Her voice is definitely STILL there. This was better than the album version. Crazy falsetto notes! Hittin them high notes like crazy. What! How can this woman go from having NO voice on GMA to hitting insane notes here? Incredible! :=D::gogirl:

Wait till she starts performing more often and really get back all her confidence and starts getting her groove back. It's gonna be REALLY OVER! Shuttin down the game for good. Yes, Whitney. YES! (*8*)

Mariah Carey seems to be facing a backlash lately that is similar to what she faced back in 2001 with Glitter. It's hard to zero in on one thing, but here are some factors that are contributing to Mariah's demise.



E=MC2 Commercial Disappointment - Months before the original release date for her upcoming album, Mariah had already been receiving bad buzz. Just before the release of the single “Obsessed,” many have noted that many of Mariah Carey’s previous singles from E=MC2, an album Mariah released in April of 2008, have performed poorly.

After the number one hit “Touch My Body,” the single “Goodbye” peaked at number 19, and the rest of the singles from the album failed to make the top 40. For someone known for scoring hits, this is considered a major disappointment

Mariah Carey at Michael Jackson Memorial

Some have suggested that Mariah Carey used Michael Jackson’s memorial to promote the single “Obsessed” since it was released to iTunes the same exact morning. Overall, Mariah has received a lot of negative publicity for her performance of the Jackson 5 hit, “I’ll Be There.” Many have concluded that Mariah Carey has lost her singing ability.

This is Mariah's 12th studio album...and Whitney just released her 6th. I don't see why Whitney's sporadic release of an album is being compared sales wise to an artist releasing new material all the time. Maybe I'm not making the connection?

Another example of Whitney's greatness and selling power. She only released 6 measly albums to Mariah's 12 and is STILL basically equal as far as sales go. :=D: You would think Mariah would be so far ahead of Whit since she released so much more.

And of those 6 albums, how many "flopped"? ONE. Her last one, "Just Whitney". Which she barely promoted and it still went PLATINUM. So hardly a flop by today's standards the way records are selling now.

I know! Isn't it fascinating? Just when you think her voice may be gone for good, she comes back out of the blue with an amazing performance like this where she is sounding flawless and hitting and holding crazy high notes and falsettos. Incredible I tell you! You can never count this woman out. :=D:

Current issue of People magazine gives "Memoirs" a perfect 4 stars out of 4 stars. The more I listen the more I like it. Am loving "Ribbon" and "It's A Wrap", among others.

Wow. Whitney's becoming more confident, as evident by her voice and on-stage demeanor. I'll admit that I'm one of the people who figured that she was probably flipped and well done on both sides. But she may not be over just yet.

I'm still trippin' to see her with a paunch and some hips, though. :D

I'm kinda impressed. (EDIT: Of course, I'm assuming that the whistle was live. She does have a history of hybrid performances.)

lol...y'all LAMBS make me do it. ..| I could go real easy on your girl, but the silly lambs on here always gotta take me there. Always trying to belittle Whitney, and calling her all kinds of crack heads, crack hoes and throwing every other insult/joke under the sun. Most of the lambs have no respect for her, so I'm not gonna have any for Scarey either. And that's how its gonna be until the lambs learn some R-E-S-P-E-C-T themselves.
