Whitney Houston has selected a title for her anticipated comeback album!

Due for release in September, Houston's forthcoming album earned the official title "I Look To You" Thursday.

The official naming of the former "I Will Always Love You" singer's album follows a series of recent promotional projects, including a photoshoot captured by Extra.

In related news, Alicia Keys has been linked to Houston's album. Keys, currently working on the follow up to 2007s "As I Am," is rumored to have penned a song for the former "I Have Nothing" singer titled "Million Dollar Bill"!

Revealed by Showbiz411's Roger Friedman, "Million Dollar Bill" precedes Key's fourth studio album and a host of projects coming from music icon Clive Davis.

If the song makes the cut, "Million Dollar Bill" would join a soon to be released Diane Warren and David Foster helmed single, set to lead Houston's comeback in September.

Whitney Houston unveils official album title

Whitney Houston is looking to "you" with her first album in nearly seven years.

The anticipated project, due for release in September, has just been given the title "I Look To You" after months of it being untitled.

News of Houston's album title selection was issued Thursday, just weeks after the release date of September 1 was announced and months after a rumored "Undefeated" title had been thrown around the net.

Houston's website, WhitneyHouston.com, is also pulling out all the stops in anticipation of "I Look To You". Videos including Houston's "Queen of the Night" are playing on the site in addition to an exclusive video mash up of her hits including "Step By Step".

According to management, an album cover for the diva's effort "I Look To You" will be unveiled next !

The former Bodyguard star's last album "Just Whitney" was released in 2002 and featured the single "Try It On My Own".

And just for funzies -- Clive Davis was just on Anderson Cooper on CNN last night speaking out about Michael Jackson's death. ANDERSON himself brought up Whitney, saying "And everyone knows you and Whitney Houston are working on the biggest comeback ever right now, do you think Micheal would have been able to do this as well?"

So much for nobody else cares. :lol: But according to you I suppose people haven't heard about CNN too, huh MC? Or Access Hollywood or FOX News? Girl sit down. You lose. Earlier this month we learned the AMAZING news that Whitney Houston is FINALLY releasing a new album this Fall and today we learn the title of said new album. In a new message sent out to mailing list subscribers, Whitney announces that the title of her new album is I Look To You:

^ I agree. I'm glad she didn't t name it "Undefeated" too. "I Look To You" sounds very humble. It could imply she looks to the fans for support. Or looks to God.

I agree. I think "I Look To You" implies that she looks to her fans for love, support, approval and acceptance. After all, she's been away for a long time.
As opposed to something like "Undefeated", it sounds almost fragile which I like - it shows she isn't taking this all for granted.
I love me some Whit and can't wait to hear her latest stuff. It'll be great to have her back :D

Whitney Houston who has announced the new name of her long awaited and now highly anticipated album which will be releasing on Arista Records on September 1, 2009, recently shared her thoughts on Michael Jackson's passing.

"It is so hard to express in words what Michael Jackson meant to me," states Whitney Houston. "He was my friend. He was one of the reasons I got into the music business," she added.

Whitney Houston went on to add, "He inspired me. He taught me. He laughed with me. He paved the way for African American artists to be played on MTV which was huge. My heart is full of grief for his family and his children and I pray that they take solace in the incredible legacy of his music and art."

Whitney Houston's new album, which was originally expected to be named Undefeated, as reported back in May on HipHopRX.com, has now been titled I Look To You and is Whitney's comeback album since the R&B singer and icon hasn't released a new album in seven years.

Whitney Houston's long-awaited comeback album "I Look To You" is Houston's seventh studio album following behind Whitney Houston's 1985 album "Whitney Houston", 1987 album "Whitney," 1990 album "I'm Your Baby Tonight," 1998 album "My Love Is Your Love," 2002 album "Just Whitney," and 2003 album "One Wish: The Holiday Album."

As reported on HipHopRX.com, promotional photos of the singer's supposed album photo shoot leaked on the Internet back in May 2009 and the first expected single off the album is "I Didn't Know My Own Strength." The song is penned by legendary songwriter Diane Warren (Toni Braxton - "Unbreak My Heart," Brandy - "Have You Ever?," Aerosmith - "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing," Celine Dion - "Because You Loved Me") and it is expected to be released soon.

Whitney Houston, full name Whitney Elizabeth Houston, 45, is also highly known for her movie role starring in the film Bodyguard, alongside actor Kevin Costner, which the Grammy Award winning (Album of the Year) Whitney Houston soundtrack to Bodyguard went on to become the best-selling soundtrack album of all-time with over 42 million copies sold, according to RIAA.
