What will become of her new film? Did they finish filming?

Sparkle, the last film she appears in, is still on track to be released this August. It is in post-production. Whitney recorded 2 songs for that film.

The main character in that film is Jordin Sparks. Whitney plays her mother.

My friend ‘’T’’ and I were talking about Whitney today on the phone. I'm still broken up by her death, I was crying all this weekend hoping it wasn’t true, I will definitely miss Whitney. But ‘’T’’ said it’s weird how a lot of black entertainers are dying so young. And he thinks it’s some sort of racist conspiracy or something like that. Me personally I think she probably died from abusing all the drugs and alcohol and the stress of trying to make a comeback. And if it was some type of conspiracy, then that would mean every time a celebrity dies – black, white or whatever race – then it would have to be a conspiracy. ''T'' kept talking about the illuminati (what ever that is) and saying how Michael Jackson and Jennifer Hudson were victims of their success. I mean I didn’t hear anyone saying that Heath Ledger died because he was white. What do yall think?

that is a possibility. wouldn't surprise me though. you never know nowadays. still fucked up how she went though. kind of reminds me of michael jackson all over again except i guess it wasn't that much of a shock. i remember a week before she died that there was talks that she was in failing health and on her way out so to speak.

ps: good thing they didn't decide to make her funeral public and at the prudential center. newark wouldn't be able to handle that much people down there. the whole city would have to shut down. they need to stop blaming bobby brown too for her death. whitney been on those drugs before she hooked up with bobby.

now as for junkies, i hope dmx comes out to be okay. i hope he doesn't go next. not a huge fan of his but dude is real. it would suck if he were to die from drugs. x is 41 years old. for someone that has been an ex con in and out of jail and on drugs, he pretty much has had 9 lives. i hope eminem is alright too. i know people in here hate eminem because he's a homophobe but i like his music.

This. Whitney abused her body with drugs, she was not murdered. It's quite possible that it was an accidental overdose. The Illuminati? Please, don't you think this mysterious force has better things to do?

Why is it her death that brings out the conspiracy theorists, but not someone like Brittany Murphy when her death first happened?

I think people like Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston were surrounded by people who were enablers of their bad habits. And in a subtle, indirect way, they are also partly responsible for their deaths. Even just by doing nothing. The people closest to her who loved her should have pushed her firmly into the Betty Ford Clinic or some other rehab place. That should have taken priority over anything else, parties in Beverly Hills be damned, your health is more important.

I'll say this about Whitney...meeting Bobby Brown was among the worst things that could have happened to her.
But in the same breath,it appears she had started using before she met him, and even if she hadn't..at the end of the day, it was still HER choice to do the drugs and not anyone else's.
Don't get me wrong, Bobby Brown is scum in my book but like a couple of the friends I've known who've had these same issues, at some point the only person to blame..is the one you see when you look in a mirror.

So far they haven't mentioned any drugs that would have made an overdose easy to do, especially if she had a tolerance to benzos, which she probably did with the variety she had in her room, excep that maybe alcohol was mixed with the drugs.

All these types of deaths end up being suspicious and never completely explained. Although, I disagree with my psychiatrist, when I saw her today, I mentioned how you really have to be careful after seeing stuff about Whitney Houston, and how it reminded me of Michael Jackson, Britanny Murphy, and Anna Nicole Smith. I said I wonder why people don't realize you can't drink when on those meds, and she said she doesn't think drinking on benzos is that big of a deal. It kind of surprised me as that was from the best psychiatrist I have found, and I have seen a lot of psychiatrists. I have seen doctors who at the end of the appointment say, "Do you need anything else?" I guess some of them realize they're not of much more value than prescribing drugs at this point, and so they try to tell people what they think they want to hear.

Personally, ever since I went on psychiatric drugs at the age of 15, I have not had one sip of alcohol because of my own research on the synergistic effects (not that I was drinking at 15--I remember my last drink was having sips of my parents drinks at age 9 and I haven't had alcohol since then). But I have never had a psychiatrist tell me not to drink, and in fact when I mentioned not drinking to one doctor, he thought I was being a hypochondriac.

From what I've read overdosing on benzos by themselves is difficult, but it's much easier with alcohol added in. That's what I've read. But what I've been told by doctors is not to worry--maybe that's what Whitney Houston was told. It's pretty telling she ended up being found dead with legal drugs and not from what she had been addicted to all along (crack), not that we know the whole story. I was one of those kids who was a good two shoes and accepted the Just Say No campaign completely. But I wish so badly I had been warned about the frequent inappropriate prescription of psychiatric drugs, as when I was 15 I was put on benzos indefinitely with no warning that they cause physical dependence, with really no info at all except that it was an anti-anxiety drug. I'm not saying Whitney Houston was a saint and I don't know why she died, but people tend to trust doctors, and sometimes they shouldn't.

They said when he found out he cried like crazy but two hours later decided to do a show where he blew kisses in the air saying love you Whitney.

All I know is back in the 90's an entertainer hinted that Whitney was a lesbian within 3 months someone lined her up with the scum bag Brown.

Regardless she had the where with all to straighten out no matter how hard it could be.

The people in her suite were family and her employees and body guards. They were the last to kill the goose that laid the golden egg.

2) She wanted to look good for tomorrow night's Grammy's

3) She took "a little Xanax and Oxy" to insure she had a good night's sleep

4) She slipped into a warm bath, but that combo of residual coke, benzo's and opiates was just one roller coaster ride too many....

5) She "passed out" and slipped under the water in the tub.

6) Tragic, self-absorbed and selfish end of story.

Two messages need to come from this and other celebrity deaths.

1) If you're a recovering addict,look closely at your friends. Many times you'll find they really aren't your friends at all.

2)At the end of the day, YOU are the one who chooses whether or not to do drugs or drink,no one else.
