Re: Good Things Thread

Today has been good, but the best news I heard today was that my younger Brother got his Associates Degree. He works, goes to school and is in the National Guard. He works hard for what he wants and I am proud.

Re: Good Things Thread

I bought a new book. I know the basics. It'll be great to delve more fully into the particulars.

....I saved the rice that was supposed to be dinner! It was a half cooked monstrosity, but it's back to fluffy health! Which is excellent, saves me tossing my hands in the air, going "Fuckitall!" and trying to quickly unthaw leftovers sans microwave.

Re: Good Things Thread

A couple of weeks ago I got to do my trial for the neuro stimulator. It was great. A success is supposed to be 50% to 70% pain reduction. I had probably 95%. I even slept throughout the night which has not happened in years. The only down side was instead of being in a lot of pain and needing to sit; I felt really weak and needed to sit. I think that may be because I have not used those muscles much in years.

The next step is to be okayed by a neurosurgeon. Then I have to hope I can afford it. I was told they will work with me though so that is good.

The house construction across the street finally moved the huge pile of gravel off the road out front. They've been blocking it for a week and the cops basically didn't care. The 1% have finally given us our road back. Woo hoo!

I am very happy right now. I just passed a huge milestone and hurdle. I was able to look at a family similar to my own and instead of freaking out or having a panic attack...I calmed myself down really fast...and I was about to get Dave to come and help them I decided NO...enough....and then I decided I didn't like them LOL (of course) and I snapped back at the father when he was an asshole...but I told myself to STOP...let it the fuck go...and try having some compassion for them because I KNOW they don't want to be stuck playing the roles they are all stuck playing...and then it happened..alot smoother than I would have ever guessed...

I still feel a little sick to my stomach...but that's OK..because it didn't throw me back there or make me want to scream...or run. It is the first I time I was ever OK with it though in fairness I don't see it very often so chances to confront it are rare....

....progress...it's good....

Wow guys, today is my Birthday. I'm 59 years old now.

I'm on my way to a pizza party so I'm going to bow out for now.
We'll meet up again this weekend where I'll be a few pounds heavier, LOL!

I just watched a .gif of a Japanese girl eating worms, vomiting them up, pissing on the vomit, and then eating the vomit a second time.

I'm not that girl!

Today is a BRILLIANT day.

Cloudless.

Heaving bricks and wooden logs to make a taller terrace embankment. Accepting a gift of 12 bucketloads of sawdust from my dizzy-queen neighbour so I can mix with compost to build up the soil level.
