  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

The Queen is Dead. Long live the King.

One of my neighbours got a 100th birthday card from the late queen two years ago. She said it was very nice but there was no money inside.

Cod, what a stuuuuupid job.

That may be your opinion for what it's worth, but royal birthday cards are appreciated by those who receive them and I don't suppose for one moment that the King spends much time on them personally.

That's precisely what I was talking about: politicians pleasuring the pillocks.
And there are idiots who pretend that Charles didn't ever do any work before starting with that... sort of thing.

:=D: Very clever, children. Now if you really want to make a splash, take a trip to to Saudi Arabia and let's see you do the same to an effigy of their king. He'll be so amused!

No, no, let that be Mr. Muh!

Can someone explain how the relation with Camilla with her children is.
Have they any rights to anything.
I mean the coronation for example?

Camilla's children from her first marriage have no additional rights or titles as a result of their mother's subsequent marriage to the King. I would expect them to be invited to the coronation, but they have no particular entitlement to an invitation.

The son, Tom PB is or was a newspaper restaurant critic, a job he got--no doubt--because he's such a great writer and food expert. The daughter (Laura?) married a onetime good-looking rich toff.

You mean toff dork

What sort of surname is that, "Lopes"? It's like someone being called "Esmiz" in Spain.

They will both be crowned.

Similarly, Princess Beatrice works as Vice-President of Partnerships and Strategy (whatever that means) at Afiniti and Princess Eugenie is a Director of the Hauser & Wirth art gallery. No doubt both positions were secured entirely on merit.

You're as bad as a Spanish-Italian-French boyfriend I had who once commented that Portuguese wasn't even a real language.
Ah, that's right.
Well, even so, just as weirdfor a British "toff", for all the six-centuries-and-a-third of chummy British-Portuguese alliance. Just like being called José María van der Ploeg
