However, I would also be aware that each season brings something new; as a viewer, I'm happy that this job appears to be more serious than they have been in the past (if for no other reason than variety). In short, I would be disappointed, but I wouldn't feel deprived of something I'm entitled to.

Maybe you dont really drink and dont party that hard. But if you are like many people at her age who do drink and party, you would feel deprived. Most people I know would feel totally cheated. Anybody would feel cheated if they had such restrictions on their personal time. You're not being honest if you wont at least admit that part of it is fucked up.

Oh come now. I agreed that it was "fucked up" twice: I agreed that this was part of MTVs bag of tricks, and that that were I in the same situation I too would be disappointed.

A good contrast would be between Aiiiya and the other roommates. The others all agreed that it sucked, but they got over it, and presumably decided to make the best of it. Aiiiya, on the other hand, seems to think that this ranks with greatest disasters in history. She's not entitled to drunken revelry; she's lucky to even be there, what with the thousands of applicants. If it bothers her so much, she should leave. I'm sure there are thousands of people who would take three months in Cancun even with the restrictions.

But apparently such opinions make me dishonest.

That is certainly true. On shows like this, though, I try not to be too critical of the editing -- it tends to disrupt my suspension of disbelief and ruins the fun.

Ayiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiia and Jasmine are my girls in the house, too. Aside from Joey and his dirtbag anctics, they add comic relief to this show for me too.

I just want to say that I love your emphasis on Ayiia's (sp?) name. It's annoying at first glance but I can't stop laughing.

I thought I would avoid any MTV programming for a second year straight but because it's the summer and I'm bored out of my mind, I have tuned in to the latest Real World. I must say I don't regret it yet.

The drama that went down in the last episode was very childish and neither party (Ayiia and Joey) have room to blame the other. Both demand to be respected on their own terms and without question, which is contradictory when each wants to pretend to be a badass. I did like Joey's turnaround at the end and appreciated that someone could act like an adult.

Derek did jump too quickly to side with Joey and it was annoying to see him play that role.

Joanna... oh Joanna. You'll get what's coming to you. Unless her boyfriend is that comfortable with her being all up on other men when he IS around, she shouldn't be behaving that way when he isn't in Cancun with her.

Ayiia... I find it really hard to believe that the cast wasn't aware of those kind of expectations with their job before coming. But let's say they were clueless. Why is it difficult to express some self-control because your job depends on it? Let's ignore the amazing trip to Cancun, the beautiful place you're staying in for free and the job (and subsequent experience) you get to have at no monetary cost to you... I'd think holding back on the alcohol would be an easy task. And as someone has already mentioned, the program director didn't say you couldn't get drunk off your ass in the condo. Just do it there!

I'm interested to see how the lesbian tryst goes down in the next episode. Yay for Real World!

What I learned from this episode of the Real World: No one in that cast can dance! What the fuck is this jerking around awkwardly in the club or shaking their asses on the stripper pole.

And damn, Ayiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiia and Emilee are some annoying drunks. You know the kind. They portray the horny, sloppy drunk girl steroptype really well.

I'm still liking this cast. They have their faults and their moments of insanity but they are entertaining and they admit when they are wrong. For the most part they work things out in a decent way for the most part. That's why I ended up hating Brooklyn because the Mormon and the Army guy would maintain their prejudice, ignorance, and hypocrisy until the end. I'm prolly in the minority but CJ is my least favorite guy. He's so fake and 2 faced. He bitches the most about the girls but acts like he has no problem with them to their faces. While the girls were acting like fools throughtout the episode they did have a point when they called the guys pussys for always going into corners and being all bitchy and gossipy instead of addressing the issues like men.

In the past, whenever there was a gay guy on the show there would also be some obnoxious guy(s) who had a problem with him, either through outright prejudice or unbelievable naïveté. That tired old story line hasn't made an appearance (yet), and it's refreshing.

Note to Aiiiya: calling someone immature is, in fact, one of the more immature things a person can do.

I enjoyed this past episode I gotta say. And WOW is Emilee a drama queen. But good for her for going to the guys and Jonna and apologizing. This episode really showed how big of a bitch Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiya really is though. She segregates herself from everyone. They planned a roommate night so they could learn to get along and boom she goes and drinks by herself on the patio. LAME.

I missed what she said to Emilee though about her being adopted or something...was it really bad?

I enjoyed the Guys this episode...I like that they all get along and they went to the gay bar with Derek. Derek and Bronne passed out on the floor was hilarious.

Besides Emillee(who had the maturity to see her ways and eventually apologize, and maybe the African-American chick, sorry dont know her name) I find myself pretty disgusted with everyone in the house...

I hate how CJ is pretending like he is this all -American honest guy next door when he is clearly crossing the boundaries with Jonna...I hate how Jonna keeps pretending that the shit shes doing is all innocent...and just man up already and break it off with you BF if your only intent it too obviously bed CJ...

The other girls are too lame with their drama....and dont get me started on Derek...all he does is sit back, without his backbone, and laugh like a 4 year old and watch the drama unfold..

I actually think Bronne is my favorite out of the guys...I thought he would be the one I hate the most...but I now think the opposite...

Emilee is such a bitch. She gets mad when Ayiiia doesnt defend her when she was acting like a psycho. Then she apoligizes and claims Ayiiia is the reason the whole house doesnt like her. CJ also claims that Ayiiia has been the source of all the drama yet the biggest fight yet had nothing to do with her and she refused to get involved. I dont feel sorry for Ayiiia, she is a nasty person but its obvious she has issues.
