I don't ever see where their Bronze age book of tales tells us not to worry about plagues and illness....in fact it seems to be pretty high up on the list of things to try to prevent.

Unless he was reading from the Book of Covid in the Apocrypha....I think he shows that their good Lord doesn't take arrogance and ignorance.

But they are all likely mumbling some nonsense about God's will and salvation in order to keep their delusions intact.

BTW. Just throwing this out there.....none of the various deities seem to have a grasp on this latest bit of evolutionary stew either. And as a result, I think we are seeing the real decline in faith in the Abrahamic God, his son and the ghost evaporating instead as it becomes clearer and clearer that neither prayer or Ivermectin is going to cure this.

I think that's why Deism came about. Because people looked around and saw all the mass death and suffering and figured that a Divine Being had left us to figure it out on our own.

And there's the squamous, omnipotent and kind crowd...

A right-wing radio host who called vaccines “bogus bull shid” had a change of heart after being hospitalised with Covid-19, friends say.

Dick Farrel, 65, a former Newsmax host and pioneer of the shock jock genre, died on Wednesday in West Palm Beach, Florida, from complications relating to Covid-19.

Prior to getting sick, Mr Farrel wrote on Facebook that Dr Anthony Fauci was a “power tripping lying freak”, mocked vaccines and referred to the pandemic that has taken more than 600,000 American lives as a “scamdemic”.

His close friend Amy Leigh Hair said that Mr Farrel had written to her from hospital begging her to get vaccinated.

“He texted me and told me to ‘Get it!’ He told me this virus is no joke and he said, ‘I wish I had gotten it!’”

Two church events in Illinois linked to 180 Covid-19 cases, 5 hospitalizations [CNN]

By August, 180 Covid-19 cases had been traced back to a five-day overnight church camp for teenagers and a two-day men's conference, both held in June. Five people were hospitalized.

Campers lived in large groups, ate together and participated in multiple group activities. No proof of Covid-19 vaccination or testing was required to attend camp.
The investigation, published in the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, notes "the suggested list of items to bring to camp did not include masks."

Several members of a Kelowna, B.C., church with a history of defying public health orders have fallen ill with "a cold, the flu, or COVID" after attending a religious retreat, according to the church pastor.

Earlier this year, the Harvest Church was fined multiple times by health authorities for holding church services in defiance of a ban on indoor gatherings.

In a prayer session posted publicly on social media, pastor Art Lucier said a number of congregants had become ill after attending a festival that was held in a rural area outside Kelowna on the weekend of Aug. 21-22...

In an email to congregants cancelling upcoming services, Lucier outlined the effect of the spreading illness on church operations.

"This last weekend really bagged us out, and like most of our staff, we ended up with the flu," he wrote. "This coming weekend was supposed to be led by pastors Rick and Bill, but they are under the weather as well. For these reasons, we are cancelling this coming weekend's church services."

Richard Ashcroft pulls out of Tunes In The Dunes festival after contracting COVID-19 [NME]
The former Verve frontman had previously pulled out of festivals in protest of COVID-19 safety measures

Richard Ashcroft, former frontman of The Verve, has seemingly contracted COVID-19, and as such won’t be performing at Tunes In The Dunes festival this weekend.

Ashcroft has pulled out of multiple festivals recently, including Tramlines Festival and Victorious Festival, but in both instances it was in protest of COVID-19 safety restrictions.

In a tweet posted today (September 3), Ashcroft wrote “We are sorry to announce that due to COVID-19, headline act Richard Ashcroft will be unable to perform at Tunes in the Dunes on Saturday this year sept 4th.”
