The Riche$

FX season are small though, like only 3 months, but they pack alot in.

But remember they run the entire season without interruptions. On networks they have a hiatus for a month or two. Or they show 4 new episodes in a row, and then take a small hiatus. The season is only 22 or 23 episodes, and they debut in September, so they try to stretch it all the way into May. Also cable shows are already finished filming(or close to) when the season debuts on air.

24 on FOX runs their entire season without interruptions at all. I think that's the only one I've seen on network TV that shows the entire season without a small hiatus or a small break(1 week or 2 weeks).

People have short attention spans in general, and will probably forget everything about the show. Short breaks indeed really hurt a show, and they lose alot of viewers when they do finally come back. Desperate Housewives, Heroes, Jericho, and others have suffered this season in ratings from a hiatus.

ABC is suppose to air the next season of Lost uninterrupted like 24.

Ok this series is positively wonderful. Tonight had to be the best episode of the season so far. The writing and acting was superb. i would only have added a couple things and made a few script changes but nothing major.

You know the "riches" do some pretty questionable things but what i love is that they have a heart and it showed tonight. It showed before but tonight just felt different, the whole vibe and atmosphere.

It was just awesome.

we finally got here.

it's on showcase.

but then i watched all the episodes online anyway.

is regular tv not revelant anymore???

loved this weeks episode....but question....when did everyone find out Jim was gay? I was really confused about that when Chunky K blurted that out. Did I miss it somewhere?

and I gotta say the Sam character is so interesting....I love that they put a character like him on a show.

Wayne/Doug kinda pissed me off on this one though...i mean I know he was protecting his family and he knew Chunky wasn't a good person...but i dunno...i didn't like the way he was acting the whole episode...until the end with Nyna.

Yay another one of my shows scored a best actress nomination.

Congrats Minnie Driver of "The Riches, but as much as i like you, i doubt anyone has a chance, not even Edie Falco, of beating double oscar winner Sally Field. Its not just because she has 2 oscars why i say she is the frontrunner but because Sally F brought it hard throughout the season and if she submitted the right episodes she has it in the bag.

Oh wait i just remembered Mini had some great scenes too, especially with the drug addiction and pulling off the con with the Parot.

Well i am just happy with the nominations.

Congrats also to Masi Oka of "Heroes" on his supporting actor nomination.

Not happy that Ali Larter or Hayden didnt get a nomination. Talk about a snub.

It takes alot of skill to play a double personality and make people believe it.

And Hayden had some real dramatic moments with the Hatian and the episode called, "Company Man"

Why'd it take me so long to find this thread? The Riche$ is definitely one of my favorite shows. The story is captivating, and it's really got me hooked cause it's such an interesting premise regarding how long a con can last. I feel like it ended so soon, I can't wait for the next season...
