I originally joined this forum a few days ago, in hopes that I'd find some stimulating conversation with some gay guys who, since.. iono.. we're all homosexuals on the internet, would generally be open-minded, self-respecting folks... with interesting things to say. cant say I'm not a little disappointed. I'm upset at the number of threads written by minority guys being upset about not fitting into the grand, twink-worshiping social order that is the gay scene... but I'm even more upset by what you just wrote. Its obvious that the rejection of a white guy some time ago has you in a tizzy, or insecure about your racial identity or something. I'm (as my avatar would tell you) a black guy, out for a few months, and been with white guys, asians, black guys.. and while I was dumped a few times.. and there were some occasions during which I kinda felt like I "wasn't good enough", I think what you're trying to say is grossly exaggerated. There's a lot of closet racists.. a lot of guys who are just as insecure and bigoted as you are - so easily willing to partition the world into racial groups.. but there's a lot of gems in there, too. I can't tell you the number of black guys I've tried to get to know better, who rejected me because I'm "not black enough" for them.. It goes both ways, I promise you.

I made the comment about SS because his writing reminds me of a jamaican character that whoopi Goldberg used to do.

I have no idea and it really shouldn't matter if he is or isn't any more than the color of his eyes matter.

I know being different in the gay community is very very difficult if your not white and don't look like an Abercrombie & Fitch model but you MUST learn to STOP giving white gay people all the power and options.

White gay men ARE NOT the "prize" or the "best" a gay Asian or black, Latino can hope to date or , they are simply another option...NOT THE ONLY OPTION !

All of you black and Asian guys who keep begging to date or a white guy will come to an ugly reality very soon... MOST WHITE GAY MEN DO NOT WANT TO DATE YOU...some may want to experiment, just or use you to boost their ego by enjoying all the attention you give them but NOT DATE.

THE ONE'S WHO LOOK LIKE AF MODELS WILL NEVER EVER DATE OR MARRY YOU. ... or get ed by you ... yes.. but not date or marry. the social stigma and curse or racial stereotypes is simply too much for this type of gay white man

Its NOT because WHITE GAY MEN ARE RACIST, its because they, just like you have been basically brainwashed about what is hot and what is beautiful. Its easier.. not easy...just easier for them because they have been born white. If your born white, then they already fulfill 90% of what gay society says is hot or beautiful. The other 10% is wardrobe and going to the gym. Its in that 10% that you.. the Asian and blacks work so hard to compensate for the fact that you are not white but it never succeeds... and white people know this.

To be fair, you'll find a few white guys on here eager to write "yea, Asian are hot, or I would date an Asian" but they do this because they in part believe they are doing you a favor. Some of them may seriously be interested in dating or ing an Asian or black person but the truth is... those white guys who do, are really NOT the type of white guy that you are looking for.. are they? be honest....plain Jane's, older(15 years older than you), average looking, over weight, or too skinny... trust me, they know their not an AF model... in fact, they couldn't get a "really hot" white guy either... which is why their so willing to date or you... they don't fit the social standard of beauty either... even though their white.

What is so SAD is that every guy who starts these pathetic thread about "white people not being attracted to black or Asians or whatever" you are young... very young ( like under 25) which means your still trying to figure a lot of out.

As racial minorities you face levels of self hatred and rejection that most white gay men will never understand, your attraction to white guys or more fittingly your need to have one of them want you is based on your need for social approval... not necessarily attraction or lust to white guys. Asian men are beautiful, hot and able for a lot of reasons.

So relax, go easy on yourself.

I am an Asian Indian gay guy, and I feel like what you have written speaks DIRECTLY to me.

I don't think White gay guys are inherently racist, but when it comes to relationships, they overwhelmingly prefer other White guys.

Plus the "gay community" (along with Hollywood & the media) glamorizes Caucasians. There is an implied message sent out to us gay men of color, that "White is right." There is a reason why most successful Hollywood actors are overwhelmingly White. There is a reason that most male clothing models are White. Even in the gay porn industry, Whites are the overwhelming majority & all of the most famous gay porn actors are White.

Most of the celebrities & well-known people who are "out" are White (Lance Bass, Neil Patrick Harris, Clay Aiken, Ellen Degeneres, Rosie O'Donnell, Chris Colfer, Melissa Ethridge, Jane Lynch, etc etc)

I read somewhere that 90% of same-sex marriages in the U.S. are between two people who are both White.

Most White gay men cannot understand how it feels like to be a "minority with a minority" -- to be an ethnic minority within the gay community. It's a lot harder than you think it is.

I'm actually dating a (gasp) white man who's exactly my type. I literally cannot stop staring at him. And (surprise!) he's more attracted to Asians, Latinos, African Americans than he is to other white men.

So thankfully, gross stereotypical generalizations like these are largely inaccurate. Just because your personal experience leads you to your conclusion does not mean your conclusion must stand true for everyone else. Has it ever occurred to you that it may not be your race that these "racist" white men are turned off from, but instead, just you as a person?

Well, I have dated a white guy in the past. He wasn't an A&F model, though. I have also met A&F-types who are into Asians. I never actually got to know these people to know whether or not they would just be using me, as you put it. I'm guessing you grew up around very few white people or in an area that was predominantly white.

Anywho, I grew up in area that's predominantly white. In kindergarten I thought I was Chinese; my brother though he was black, since he knew he wasn't white. My first boyfriend was Italian. But this doesn't mean I'm only into white guys. I'd be into dating any guy who would want to take the time to get to know me. And I can assure you that my ex didn't date me to feel better about himself.
