But just think about the posters that came in this thread. A foreigner I have ignored for three plus years who still tries to talk to me. He also has been single his entire time on here and probably wonders why - an attitude adjustment might help IMO. A wannabe American. A depressed poster who won't leave his ex-boyfriend alone (Why he hasn't placed a restraining order on his ass is mind blowing.). And a poster I politely told to shut the eff up for making unsubstantiated claims about knowing celebrities' sexual orientations.

The monarchs are visiting us on our independence day. Sure they got their asses kicked. But the timing is too suspicious to be a coincidence. I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but the hairs on my neck are standing up.

No one has yet commented on the wisdom of picking this week to visit America yet I still am reading a lot of complaining.

What is so suspicious about it? The 4th of July is a specific American holiday. It would be like visiting Mexico on Cinco de Mayo. You go because you want to enjoy the festivities and that time is the only time those specific festivities abound.

That is the problem. You are going around judging based on your own misguided opinions that you formed based on how you desire to see things.

Actually, I think it's kind of cool that the monarchy of a past empire we belonged to can come visit us on our Day of Independence and that two nations can connect together in friendship when once there was war. It's not the "Ultimate Slap to Americans' Face," rather it's a testament to how far we have come as civilizations, allies, and human beings.

It is a right of passage for many Australians to visit Gallipoli in Turkey on Anzac Day - the anniversary of the day Australians first launched on offensive attack in Anzac Cove in WW1.
