Don't say "the rest of Congress". Say the republican majority in Congress are going to prevent anything from being done. A full Democratic majority would do something.

Trump has found a new toy to play with that being the US military, just like the tariffs if he has to go thru congress to achieve the policy goal he’s not interested. He is only interested in that which he can do unilaterally so he can be the only one claiming credit and if all goes to shit he just won’t mention it again and should a member of the press ask him about it they will get the Trump treatment……‘that’s a nasty question and you’re a nasty person’.
I’d be very worried if I lived in Cuba, they are a bad inflation report away from drawing Trumps allention.

I see this situation as something else: a deranged narcissist in the throws of dementia who has surrounded himself with enablers. Biden might have been in a similar state of early mental decline but he had a team of competent people around him who gave him sound advice (well, with the exception of whether to run again).

There's only two ways out of this and one of them is unlikely to happen until Jan, 2027.

A few years ago, a group of developers and engineers from OpenAI had an ethical disagreement with Elon Musk and other backers of OpenAI. Their concern was that OpenAI wasn't putting safeguards in place to protect humans from AI's actions. Ultimately, they left OpenAI and started their own company, Anthropic.
